Meltdown kia hai?????
A meltdown is not stubbornness or bad behavior in autistic or sensory-sensitive children. It is the moment when noise, bright lights, crowds, or mental pressure overload the child’s brain. Because the child cannot express their discomfort or pain through words, crying, screaming, or restlessness becomes their only way to communicate. Meltdowns do not stop with punishment or scolding; they ease with calmness, quiet, patience, and understanding.
Let’s choose empathy over judgment—because kindness is the real support
A mother was traveling on public transport with her autistic son when the noise inside the bus—people talking, honking horns, and bright lights—overwhelmed his sensory system and triggered a meltdown. This was not bad behavior or stubbornness; it was a moment when his brain could no longer cope with intense sensory overload. As people stared and assumed it was due to poor discipline or spoiling, the mother calmly explained that meltdowns cannot be stopped by punishment or scolding but ease with calmness, quiet, and understanding. When a child cannot express discomfort or pain through words, crying, screaming, or restlessness becomes their only form of communication. Her gentle yet firm explanation changed the atmosphere, softened the noise, turned judgment into empathy, and during that single journey, not only did the child find comfort, but many people truly began to understand autism and meltdowns.
