Sunday skincare & slow mornings 🫧🤍
My fave products for my acne prone skin…
After yearssss of struggling with hormonal breakouts, I finally feel like I understand my skin and what it actually needs.
One of the biggest things I’ve learnt through my own skin journey + my experience as a skincare specialist in the UK is STOP trying to dry out your breakouts!!
Acne prone/oily skin still needs hydration. Stripping the skin can leave it dehydrated, irritated and disrupt your skin barrier...which is the complete opposite of what we want.
A few things that have helped me personally:
🧊 Ice/cold compress when my skin is angry & inflamed
💧 Hydration, hydration, hydration!!
💊 Zinc + evening primrose are part of my personal supplement routine
🫧 Keeping my routine simple & consistent
🤍 And not picking… although we're all prone to a little squeeze here and there 🫠😂
And if you want your makeup to sit beautifully… skin prep ALWAYS comes first.
Healthy, hydrated skin = a much better base for your glam ✨
