Dear ladies, this post is only a recommendation. With love and care to your nails, I’d like to give you heads up about the situations in which your nail plate could be damaged.

When your nail grows apex is moving closer to the free edge so its architecture is imbalanced. After the removal, you may notice traumatic onycholysis (your free edge lifts above the nail bed, see the pics) or burst capillaries in the form of brown stripes under the nail. 3 weeks without strengthening (gel overlay) is safe if you have strong nails. 4-5 this is a critical time for wearing the coating.

4️⃣If you naturally have thin and soft nails, then Initially I advise you to strengthen them. This way you will avoid deformation and discomfort while wearing the coating.

What does overwearing the coating lead to?

1️⃣ nails peel of the nail bed and it can lead to onycholysis
2️⃣ nails curl and can hurt sides of the fingers

5️⃣ a nail with a heavily outgrown coating is easier to break

The recommended time from any manufacturer of coating materials is 2-3 weeks. With strengthening with gel or hard bases 4-5 weeks.

And the last thing. For many of you, aesthetics are important, so you can redo your nails every 3 weeks if you don’t like the look of the outgrown coating.
