Color correction projects take time, paintence and in reality, an incredible amount of money.
Starting root level 5.5 with almost zero grey
-Virgin regrowth about 3 inches deep from the root
-Upper mid shaft, previously heavily weaved highlights, level 8-9
-Middle mid shaft, the monster of all monsters a 3 inch band of level 2, multiple deposits
-Ends, previously lightened between level 7-10
Client desired results long-term; a contrast between her natural level root and a cool toned level 8-10 blonde. Eventually playing with depth once lightness is achieved.
Session one
Root, cream demi 5N, 10 vol
Heavy balayage melt, root/upper midshaft
Thinly sliced tight weaves through the banded level 2 while trying to encompass the pieces that were un touched by the previous stylist to soften the ‘stripes’
Midshaft to ends were boosted with a 20 vol
Flash toned with NA
Fully Toned with Redken Shades EQ - N, GI, P, V, Clear
Cut, and styled

Session two (7 weeks later)
Same Demi root applied
Thinly sliced, heavy foil, absolutely no hair left out
Processed with 40 vol for proper development time of 1 hour
Two tones were used to create a veil over the color pigment exposed that wasn’t lifted beyond a level 5 red/orange
Redken Shades EQ NA, N, P, V, VB, Clear
Mixing two formulas for low level and high level pieces
25 min processing time using gel developer
Cut, and styled

No root was applied
Platinum card was preformed, again
40 vol processed for one hour
A melt was done on existing Orange/Yellow warmth level 6-7, using Joico Demi Creme in 6SB with a 10 vol
Redken Shades EQ on existing levels 8 and higher all level 9- B,V,NA,GI,P & Clear
