I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever forget this week 🫶🏼

The hair was incredible, the inspiration was everywhere, but the people made it 🩷Hugging friends I haven’t seen in forever, meeting people I’ve admired through a screen, and making new friendships that somehow felt like old ones within five minutes unforgettable memories made 🥰

There’s something really special about our industry and I didn’t think I could possibly love it more 🤍
We create, we compete, we push ourselves but when it matters most we clap SO loudly for each other.
And I think that’s so beautiful 💖

I just love seeing such a clean, beautiful platinum styled in a completely different way. Wet, minimal, slightly rebellious and letting the colour do all the talking.
I mean when platinum looks this good as wet look 😮‍💨

There’s no softness needed here.
She’s confident, she’s cool and she knows it.

Hair is art 🖤
but it’s also energy, personality and how you choose to show up.

And this one has ENERGY 🤍

I think every artist has that one creation they’ll never quite get over this is one of mine 🥹🩷

I love the contrast in this shot ,the purity of the platinum against the smoky eye, the softness of the waves against the strength of the styling.

Top 5 in the world for Color Blocking,
the category where my creative heart lives.
As an award-winning hair colorist and creative hair color specialist, color blocking is my creative love. It’s where I get to play, push boundaries, break the rules, and bring the rainbow hair color ideas in my head to life.
But this moment means so much more than an award.
This time last year I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and a doctor told me I should
“just get a new job.”
And i remember thinking “You don’t understand.”
To people outside our industry, hairdressing might look like just a job. But for us, it isn’t. It never has been and never will be “just a job”
Creativity runs through our veins.
We don’t just do hair we think about it, dream about it, obsess over it. We see color combinations everywhere. We lie awake thinking about the next color transformation. We pour pieces of ourselves into what we create.
So being told I might have to give that up broke me. There were moments this past year when I genuinely didn’t know what my future as a professional hair colorist would look like.
And now, one year later, I’m standing in Fort Lauderdale Miami as a Top 5 Finalist in the World for Color Blocking Hair Color at the One Shot Hair Awards by behindthechair.com the biggest hair awards in world 😭
If the last year has taught me anything, it’s this-

Please don’t quit on your dreams just because life makes them harder.
Keep showing up.
Keep creating.
Keep believing in yourself even when that belief feels impossible.
Be proud of yourself along the way.
Not just when you win. Not just when you get the recognition. But for every single time you could have given up and chose not to.
A year ago I was terrified I’d have to walk away from the career I love.
Today I’m Top 5 in the World for color blocking 🥺
And I’m really, really proud of myself. 🩷
Never stop creating.
Never stop dreaming.
And please, never count yourself out.
