Hat and makeup: Nazgul Nejmi

Combining an avant garde hat with a 1960s retro look and the latest in 3D printing technology, Nazgul Nejmi pulled off a hat trick at the Dubai World Cup.

The hat, partially inspired by the 1980s Battle of the Planets cartoon, features an art deco set of dove wings to communicate our message of peace. It was made using the latest 3D printing technologies, expressing our hopes for the future. The dress, reminiscent of the swinging sixties, a decade that witnessed the civil rights movement, adds a playfulness to the overall look while staying true to our message of love and peace.

I decided to complement and join her with the message of peace expressing ourselves in our own ways. I went as a super hero of Peace and for me she was the Dove Queen of peace 🕊️✌️Nazgul.

My look at this year’s Dubai World Cup is inspired by the theme “Peace”, emulated by the color white, the Dove 🕊️ and the Peace sign ✌️ My Milliner Nazgul and I worked on the hat for 2 months. It’s meant to represent the doves wings 🕊️she did an incredible job, and she just takes her designs to another level every year 👏🏻👏🏻”.

I’ve always been fascinated by architecture, design sciences and technology. This year I decided to experiment with 3D printing technology to make our hats.

I absolutely love working with and designing statement making hats for her as she is such a fashion icon and deserves iconic hats ❤️ She has always pulled every look so gracefully. Thank you for your love and for rocking my pieces Tamarah.

Nazgul decided to complement whose hat she also designed, and spread the message of peace through their own styles. Nazgul went for the super hero of peace, while Tamarah was the Dove Queen of peace.

I’ve always been fascinated by the architecture of exceptional buildings. The way architects blend individual components to create organic and inorganic shapes is inspiring to me. I see several parallels between that and my creative process to come up with a new unique hat.

Furthermore, over the past several years I’ve been growing increasingly conscious about sustainability and how much more sustainable the fashion industry should be.

This year, working with Tamara, I decided to pay homage to The Line, a development that brings both together: a unique architecture with an innovative approach to sustainability and zero emissions. This hat represents The Line against a golden desert. I love ‘s iconic style mixing avant-garde with a touch of tradition. Working with her is such a pleasure and she wears my hats so gracefully ❤️
