We’re bringing back the photo contest format we organized two years ago.
So we are announcing Karmir Open Call Photo Contest 2025.
Theme:
What does contemporary Armenia look like?
We love the almanac format, where multiple authors share their stories and impressions, and their differences form a complete, multilayered vision. Through this approach, we want to create a visual diary of contemporary Armenia.
Submission Guidelines
• All photographs must be taken in Armenia in 2025.
• Any format is welcome / film or digital.
• Up to 5 photographs per participant.
• A short text that does not describe the images but works alongside them as an equal part of the narrative.
• Documentary, street, and candid photography are welcome. Staged or performance-based work is also accepted if it explores the theme.
Dates
Submissions accepted until December 25.
Results announced December 27.
Selected works will be included in an exhibition and a printed photobook.
Additionally, winners will receive film from Karmir Film Lab.

– Interest in analog photography and specialty coffee
Fluency in Armenian and English is required. Russian is a plus.
