Three years ago, Michael Wilson was homeless and sleeping rough in a tent in the southern parklands. I can't tell you have much we love doing our runs to Baptist Care SA Care. We are always greeted with the biggest smiles and so much appreciation. The same wonderful faces come out into the lane to help unpack the always bulging ute. Lots of laughs and smiles from those who sometimes must feel like there isn't much to smile about and if we can bring them a small bit of hope then that's good with us.
As always we can't do it with out our regular donors and always the new ones that want to help. We were extremely grateful to have dropped off 8 dome tents, big thank you to Callan for 6 of them and meeting us for pick up, Jan for her endless supply of sanitary items and bags, jenna for hygiene products jackets, towels and track pants, Wendy for more sleeping bags, Caroline for thick, brand new socks, Helen for sanitary items and underwear, we had sachets of porridge donated, a new tin of baby food, a garbage bag full of freshly picked oranges and mandarins, Meridee for loving passing on winter track pants and jackets. Susanne and Michael for all the donations they bring every time they come in.
We always make sure everything is checked thoroughly, clean and in good condition because that's what out friends deserve. Our winter drive will be winding down over the next month and our summer collections will be starting.

Remember it doesn't take much to be kind, you never know if your circumstances may change and you may need help. No one wants to sleep in the cold with no food or friends. Everyone deserves to be heard and welcomed no matter what their choices.
A smile goes long way, a coffee or sandwich and even a chat is all it takes to give a helpful hand 😀❤

Also this morning I went to Noarlunga Hospital Emergency to leave a box filled with over 100 chocolates for all the staff working today as a thank you for the great work they do and working on a family day to help others. Today we dropped off almost 100 pairs of thongs to Baptist Care SA to help keep their showers going. We also left a huge bag of beanies, scarfs and socks as well as 3 sleeping bags ( basically new) and bag of towels. We can do this because of our constant donations from customers of Braids N Shades hairsalon 0431281565 and wonderful locals. Thank you Kay, Carole, Jan, Dave, Leonie, Ricky, Sharon, Sue and everyone who enables us to do this.

Just a heads up, traffic lights out at marion road bottom of expressway and almost every other set of lights through to Glenelg. Avoid going down the hill if you don't have to.
