I am sooooo excited to announce that my makeup team has now expanded to Sydney! The city where I first fell in love with the art of makeup.

Joining my team is a talented artist who’s name you may already know and love! Introducing

Carmela is best known for her clean, radiant complexions which she mixes with her signature edgy style. She has stamped her position in both the United States and Australia working with Pretty Little Thing, Tkay and various artists and influencers at Coachella.

We could not be more proud to have her join our team and can’t wait to see what she will do in Sydney!!

My beautiful bride last Friday who simply took our breath away on her wedding day.

Despite temperatures rising to 37 degrees, her makeup stayed put! This was Zina at 6pm in the evening after a whole day wearing her makeup. My superhero products for this scorcher of a day to keep her makeup in place were Translucent Powder and All Nighter Spray (in the centre of her face).

When I was taking snaps of Zina’s look, the room was quite dark so it made our soft pinks look more like plum tones 😅 but what I love about this picture is that her glow from within look still shone through. I used Life Proof Setting Spray over the makeup on the sides of her face which has a sheen when setting. Some may say it’s an overkill to use two setting sprays but I think the picture speaks for itself. 🥰

Reunited with angelface who looked so sweet in my natural look! This has been a client fave lately especially with the heatwaves.

Makeup doesn’t have to mean coverage by the way! I mixed Ultra Wear with my OG Cream to dilute the formula so that the final finish is focused on covering any redness and evening out skin tone. Think of it like a longer lasting bb cream as embryolisse has a built in primer!

I topped off the skin with Hollywood Flawless Filter on the high points and set only in the tzones with Translucent Powder. I also used brow pen to accentuate Lynn’s beauty spots to finish her natural look! Let me know in the comments if you’d like to know the brow, cheeks and lip colours too!

It’s not just the products that perfect the look but also the application techniques and choosing the right colour palettes for your natural skin tone. Even bronzers have different undertones! Choosing the right undertone for each product could mean the difference between a heavy caked on look and a bright softened look, even if you put the same amount of product on your face🤯

A general rule is that when a product goes ashy or grey on your skin, it means it’s too pink or cool for your skin tone. If a product goes orange on your skin, it could mean that it’s too warm or yellow for your skin tone. Picking the right tones are essential for a flawless finish.

First post in such a long time! I’ve been wanting to put something up for weeks but I know health had to come first and Instagram later. But guess what she’s back to posting and could not be happier!! Yes I did suddenly started talking about myself in third person for no reason, people do that now right?

You’ve probably seen this picture of the very beautiful on my stories. This day in particular was for Miss Universe Australia’s State finals! Let’s be honest Tu An is naturally drop dead gorg to begin with. This makeup look enhanced what she already had, using natural tones to bring out her favourite features and to add balance to the rest of her face. Here are some snaps of her directly in front of a window, in a shaded area of a room and then back in front of the window with the sunset glow radiating in her face (hello glass skin) to show you the makeup in different lighting.

When I create a makeup look, it’s never just a copy and paste from what I’ve done for the previous client or model. Everyone’s features are different, everyone’s natural tones are different. What looks good for your friend might actually wash you out. I take all these things into consideration to create a harmonious look to not only suit your face but is also within a style that you’re comfortable in. I want every person who sits in my chair to feel the most beautiful they have ever felt, whether it’s your wedding day, whether you’re going out to dinner with friends or whether you’re a state finalist for Miss Universe *looks at Tu An* there are looks that are right for you! Tip when picking inspo pics:
When picking a makeup inspo picture for your next event or wedding, make sure to give your chosen makeup artists page a look first. Makeup artists are just that, artists! We all have our own styles and techniques that we excel in. If you can’t find something that your makeup artist has on their page, make sure you find an inspo pic that is something similar to their style. If you feel like their style is not you, you should book in with an artist that is closer to the style you want.

Always feel free to talk to your chosen artist if you’re not really sure what you’re looking for. Half of what we do is finding the right look that you can feel the most confident in! ♥️♥️
