Nail art with an automotive twist!
24/10/2025
Well its that time of year again and nothing beats a competition.
Joining in on the TNS Halloween Creature Nail Art Competition, my creatures of choice were the classic black cat and a skeleton! With a bonus owl...
Took inspiration from a Halloween classic with Disney's 'The Dancing Skeletons'
I went with grey, black and whites with my tones of choice, leaving only green as the colour, allowing the sudden sparkles of the green cat eye powder and the green creature eye to really pop. The use of the lace gel worked really well for creepy tree branches, especially with the unpredictably of the gels final settling place. Course gaps had to be filled to make it fully a branch in some spots. The clear 3D gel was fun, mix in some glow powder and well, bone like colour and one hell of a glow- course having the under glow helped too. The 3d gel really made the skull on the thumb pop....in more ways then one....one will never lose that nail in the dark, that's for sure. An lastly a mix of gloss and matte areas for a unique final finish.
Look forward to next years challenge The Nail Shop (Australia)

Halloween doesnt have much for cars, but there are some horror car icons.
An Christine? Have to be one of the most recognised.
Based on a 1959 Plymouth Fury, this blood red lass made herself known in Stephen King's novel Christine, and further more in the movie adaptation released in 1983. To think what they did back then with hydrolics to get her to tepair herself was amazing!
Eitherway, nails were inspired by one of the many posters used for the movie. Super happy with how it turned out, more so because the blue and flames glow!

TNS Halloween Nail Art Competition.
My witchy entry with the classic twist of owning a cat.
Knocked over potions, mixing and making something else, tipped over cauldron, and a black cat aitting like it done nothing wrong.
Rather pleased with how it turned out, using new techniques and new products- 3d gel...definitely going to playing with that more often!
