Text neck is becoming more common
Many of us spend hours each day looking down at a phone, tablet or laptop.
Over time, this forward head position can place extra strain on the neck, shoulders and upper back. You may notice tightness, stiffness, tired muscles or a heavy feeling through the upper body.
Small habits can make a big difference.
Try to:
โ Bring your phone closer to eye level
โ Take regular screen breaks
โ Gently move your neck and shoulders during the day
โ Check your posture when sitting
โ Support your body with a regular mobility routine
Massage therapy can also support this area by helping the muscles soften, encouraging relaxation and supporting better body awareness.
Regular care may help enhance comfort, movement and general wellbeing, especially if your work or daily routine involves long periods of screen time.
Your body is designed to move.
Give it a moment to reset.
This week's health and wellness updates highlight the importance of movement, recovery, mobility, and healthy ageing.
Whether it's walking more consistently, maintaining strength and balance, understanding common causes of back discomfort, or learning what recovery strategies are supported by evidence, these insights can help people make informed decisions about their wellbeing.

Q: What does lymphatic drainage massage actually feel like? ๐ฟ
Think gentle, rhythmic and deeply relaxing โ not deep or intense like a traditional massage.
Light, precise movements help encourage the natural flow of lymph while giving your body a chance to slow down and reset. โจ

Strong teams are built through more than meetings and workplace systems.
Shared wellness experiences can help create opportunities for connection, conversation and a more positive workplace culture.
Group massage sessions are often included in workplace wellbeing programs because they provide employees with dedicated time to pause, recharge and focus on their general wellbeing.
Even short sessions can help people step away from their desks, reset and return feeling refreshed.
What is one thing your workplace does to support team wellbeing?
This week's health and wellness updates focused on healthy ageing, mobility, arthritis care and everyday habits that can affect physical wellbeing.
From preventing falls and maintaining independence as we age to improving the accuracy of arthritis diagnosis, these stories highlight practical issues that can influence movement, comfort and quality of life. Another reminder comes from research linking prolonged smartphone gaming with back, neck and elbow pain, reinforcing the importance of posture, movement and recovery.
