We’re thrilled to announce TABOO has been awarded funding through the Foundation’s 2025 Local Grants Program!
With this support, TABOO will deliver the ‘Torres and Cape Menstrual Health Project’, providing period product dispensers and plastic-free period products across six remote schools in the Torres and Cape region. Students in these remote communities are at increased risk of period poverty due to limited access and high costs of period products. This project will ensure students have reliable access to safe, dignified period care, supporting wellbeing, participation, and inclusion at school.
We’re proud to be working closely with local schools, community leaders, families, and service providers to make this project meaningful and culturally informed 🖤💛❤️💚🤍💙

Pad it Forward is TABOO’s program that supports Aussies at risk. We team up with community-based services, the experts who know their communities best, to make sure free period products and menstrual health education is available where people already feel safe seeking support.
Our Pad it Forward partners are wonderfully diverse, from specialist schools to rural health clinics, DV support services and other community organisations. We’re really proud of our partnership model as it’s the best way to ensure our service is community-led, culturally safe, and genuinely useful.
Come take a look and learn about the support we deliver and the community outcomes it creates 💛

❤️ A huge thanks to everyone who’s supported TABOO in 2025 ❤️ Here are some moments of the year, summarised through the four phases of the menstrual cycle! 🩸🌱🔥🌙
🩸Days 1–5: Menstrual Phase (The Release & Reset)
This year we welcomed a big reset. We shifted to a third-party logistics partner, moving out of our DIY delivery model! Now we can hold more stock, move faster and support more people around Aus.
🌱 Days 6–13: Follicular Phase (The Build-Up)
Momentum keeps building! We welcomed so many new customers this year, who now offer free, accessible period care to their staff, students, patrons and visitors. Period care showing up outside the home? We love to see it, and we love to supply it!
🔥 Days 14–16: Ovulation (The Peak)
Just like ovulation is the biological peak of the cycle, impact is why we do what we do at TABOO!
In 2025, our Pad it Forward Program supported more than 3,500 people with free period care and reached 700+ people with menstrual health education. From growing confidence to breaking down stigma, 2025 was a brilliant year for community-powered change.
🌙 Days 17–28: Luteal Phase (The Focus)
With so many exciting opportunities rolling in, we welcomed our fabulous Rachel to the team! As sales and customer service lead, Rachel is focused on getting more period care, in more places, wherever there’s toilet paper.
💫 Looking ahead to 2026:
We’re diving deeper into impact projects and getting closer to our goal of ending period poverty in Australia by 2030 — and we’re so glad you’re part of this cycle.
Whether you supported us as a customer, donor, Pad it Forward subscriber or community partner — thank you 🫶
We’ll be back on deck from Jan 5 - until then, here’s to rest, joy and starting a fresh cycle together in the new year ✨
1 in 5 Australians who menstruate face barriers to period products. Help us change that by padding it forward this holiday season.

✨drum roll please ✨we have a new team member!!!
We are so delighted to welcome Rachel to the TABOO team, as our brilliant Sales and Customer Service Lead. If you’ve had the privilege of speaking with Rachel already you’ll know she’s an energetic problem solver who’s passionate about making period care more accessible in Australia.
Why is Rachel the perfect fit for TABOO? Let her tell you herself ❤️
“After having my third child, I experienced firsthand the incredible journey and challenges of womanhood and it sparked a deep passion for women’s health. I truly believe the universe guided me to TABOO, and stepping into this role felt like the most natural next step. With a genuine love for sharing knowledge, I’m on on a mission to bring menstrual health into the spotlight and help drive real change across Australia. When I’m not at TABOO, I’m raising 3 very active boys with my husband and soaking up love from my velcro baby, Aussie Bulldog, Winnie.”
For those of you looking to bring period care into your workplace, council, uni or community, Rachel is here to support you, we can’t wait for you to meet her! 💕

Earlier this month, TABOO’s Managing Director, Eloise, had the privilege of visiting Taiwan’s one and only period museum! The team at .withred and have curated the most spectacular space for learning, inspiration, insight and challenge.
Behind the curtain, you can learn about people’s experiences of period poverty, and by the window you can write a letter to your period. One highlight was seeing a global map showcasing where progress in period justice has been made. Australia features, noting the commitments many state governments made in 2020 to provide period products to students in public schools. It was surreal reading about this moment in history, on the other side of the world, when it feels like just yesterday that we were advocating for that exact progress!
A huge thanks to the team at .withred for having us. It’s such a joy to connect with like-minded changemakers on the other side of the world.
