The idea started with my childhood miniature tea set (yes, with tiny geese on it! How perfect 🪿) and some old storybooks from growing up. I had a whole outdoor picnic planned. All very whimsical, all Silly Goose. AND THEN it rained ALL week ☔️, so we pivoted fast and ended up shooting right in my front yard instead. 😂
I looove all the greenery in the background, it tied everything together so beautifully. 💚🩷🩵🧡 I pulled in some fabric with the colours from the collection, and added a bit of apricot jam on toast for colour (and because what’s a picnic without a snack). The whole thing came together like we’d actually sat down to read some nursery rhymes together. It just goes to show, sometimes the best things can’t be planned! 🩷

We wanted our next collection to feel like a little bit of whimsy, a lot of magic, but still have that meaning and heart that you have come to know with our collections. 🪄 Every character in this story (foil) was hand drawn with so much heart by our co-founder Emily Ciardiello 🫶. There’s a wise frog who’s seen it all, a proud goose leading the way, a gaggle of goslings still learning the ropes, and butterflies fluttering around tying the whole story together. 🪿🐸🦋🌼✨ It’s a nod to every mentor who ever took the time to show a young artist what works, not because they had to, but because they wanted to. 🥰
