Our Story

Jessica Macgowan commenced her journey in the hairdressing industry at the age of 14, however, gained vast experience at a much younger age due to growing up in a family salon aiding the development of her love for the industry.
Jessica completed her apprenticeship at the age of 18, already boasting an impressive portfolio of work that includes receiving multiple awards for colour and up-styling work. Post apprenticeship training continues keeping new techniques and fashions up to date ensuring clients have the best quality services available.

At the age of 21 Jessica completed makeup training through Paint School of Makeup and Media Makeup Academe to build her portfolio and follow another creative passion with vision of offering hair and makeup services.

Aside from hairdressing full time, She also worked for a world renowned makeup organisation gaining additional valuable training and experience which would eventually lead to a solid freelance makeup business.

Throughout Jessica’s career she has accomplished a great deal in both the hair and makeup sectors such as; further award winning work, salon managing, educating for apprentices, creating training course on behalf of a leading colour brand and facilitating, obtaining diploma of hairdressing, working for some of the biggest hairdressing and makeup organisations in the industry, and of course establishing Jessica Macgowan Hair & Makeup Artist.



Hairdressing is not a job, its not just a career… It is a creative environment where anything is possible limited by only a persons imagination, it is my passion, my hobby and my life. -Jessica Macgowan
