I felt compelled to write a post on this because I meet SO many women who are burnt out and who are losing their spark....and it genuinely makes me so sad!

Self care doesn't have to be a big or expensive deal. It absoluteltly can be a hair appointment, a massage, a sculpting appointment or a facial...OR it CAN be as simple as a 15 minute walk in silence, a 5 minute meditation, a work out at the gym or a 20 minute soak in the bath when the kids have gone to bed and the house is peaceful once more.

Us women are legit powerhouses who take on SO much. The house, the kids, work, walking the dog, pleasing our husband, being a good friend, managing everyones schedule....the list is honestly endless. And you know what... im gonna say this bluntly....IT SUCKS! Our own needs go unmet constantly to keep life running as it needs to. It's a lot, and we are human, and humans get burnt out!

I'm going to get a bit personal here and tell you that I have personally been through horrible burn out twice in my life due to chronic stress alot of which was at that time out of my hands...I was drowning. Burnt out leads to chronic illness, other health issues and mental health struggles. I refuse to ever let myself get back to that place again. I was diagnosed with a whole bunch of health issues and I literally clawed my way back to health in every sense of the word (that however is a story for another time!).

My point here though....self care is NOT selfish. It's ESSENTIAL to being a functional, healthy, happy human being. I LOVE my busy life...I really do, but I know that to be the best I can be I have to take care of myself too.

TAKE THE WALK, TAKE THE BATH, GO WORK OUT, BOOK THE APPOINTMENT..... GUILT FREEEEEE. Nothing will fall apart if you take some time to do the thing that makes you feel your best! Infact....if you don't take the time out, everything may fall apart anyway!

I hope this reaches even one mumma, one woman or one human who needed to hear it ♥️🫶
