🚶♀️ Big news in health and prevention!
A major study from Oxford University and the NIH has shown that just walking more each day can significantly reduce the risk of developing cancer.
🔹 Even 5,000 steps/day starts to show benefits
🔹 7,000 to 9,000 steps = 11% to 16% lower risk of 13 types of cancer
🔹 The benefit plateaus after 9,000 — so it’s about moving more, not moving fast
🔹 Light daily movement (like walking, chores, gardening or gentle activity) is just as powerful as intense exercise
Cancers most impacted include stomach, liver, and lung, with benefits also seen in colon, breast, and bladder.
🌿 This kind of research is a powerful reminder: small, consistent choices really do support long-term wellness.
We love to share ways to support your body naturally — through movement, rest, and recovery practices like massage.
Wellness is a whole-body journey, and every step counts. 💚

“Progress, not perfection.”
I started another block of a Wellness Reset last week — not perfectly, but I started.
That’s the real win.
Not waiting until I’m super organised, until it’s not school holidays, or until I have the perfect mindset.
Just deciding to honour my body and take small steps, even when life Is busy and a little messy.
Wellness isn’t all-or-nothing.
It’s showing up, tuning in, and gently course-correcting when life throws curveballs.
The little guy had a cooking class — and in the sweetest act of thoughtfulness, he chose gluten-free flour for his choc chip biscuits.
Especially so Mummy could have some too…
How could I possibly say no to that?
Your body responds to consistency, not perfection.
— Whether it’s an occasional massage, movement, rest, or healthy eating, showing up for yourself regularly is what makes the difference.
*The Chef declined to show his face today, but gets full credit for the biscuits.

Twelve years ago this month, I had surgery that changed the course of my life—and it continues to shape the way I support others today.
After experiencing multiple pregnancy losses due to an incompetent cervix, fibroids, and other complications, I was told I may never be able to carry a pregnancy to term. At one point, I was even exploring surrogacy. But I wasn’t ready to give up.
Through hours of research, prayer, and determination, I found a skilled surgeon and underwent a major procedure: a trans-abdominal cerclage (TAC), along with the removal of large fibroids. It was a complex surgery—but it worked. Three years later, I carried my baby to a safe gestation.
That chapter in my life taught me the importance of resilience, self-advocacy, and having the right support team.
Now, my focus has shifted—but the mission remains similar: to heal myself, to restore, and to support others on their journey to wellness. Whether it’s through massage therapy, holistic health tools, or simply holding space for others navigating hard seasons
I’ve learned that healing comes in many forms. And sometimes, it starts with a conversation.
If you’re navigating stress, burnout, hormonal imbalances, or your own health challenges—please know you’re not alone. Support is available, and it’s okay to reach out.
Because healing isn’t a luxury—it’s essential.

My Journey: From Healing Hands to Holistic Wellness
From a young age, I knew I wanted to help others. I considered nursing or childcare, but after struggling through high school, I wasn’t sure what path to take. Inspired by a Japanese friend, I decided to study massage therapy—a choice that sparked my lifelong passion for health and natural therapies.
At 17, I completed a Diploma in Sports & Professional Massage, and the following year, I opened my own clinic inside a large gym, offering both massage and beauty therapy. It was an exciting time, and I loved helping my clients feel their best.
In 1997, I took a leap of faith, selling my business and moving to Malaysia, where I was contracted by the Malaysian Sports Council to provide massage therapy for athletes training for the Commonwealth Games. This was an incredible learning experience, working alongside talented professionals from around the world and gaining hands-on expertise.
I spent several years in Malaysia, including time working at a luxury resort in Langkawi.
Eventually I returned to Australia, after years in the tropics. I decided to embrace winter and took a job in the snow at Mt Buller, where I was part of the team pioneering a new luxury spa. This experience deepened my knowledge of spa therapies, and the following year, I was tasked with setting up a mini spa on an Island in Queensland.
By 2003, I returned home to Adelaide, working full-time across two clinics, completely dedicated to my clients’ well-being. Massage was my passion, and helping people was at the heart of everything I did.
A New Journey: Fertility, Loss & Resilience
We were excited to start a family, but what I thought would be easy turned into an unexpected and heartbreaking struggle. I stepped back from full-time massage, as the emotional toll of fertility treatments and loss left me with little energy to give.
Eventually, after a long and difficult journey involving multiple surgeries and IVF, I gave birth to my third son—the baby I finally got to bring home.
Rediscovering Myself & Helping Others Again
Years of fertility treatments had taken a toll on my body, energy, and confidence. Life became a juggling act—running a business, raising a child, and trying to find my way back to health. I knew how to live a healthy lifestyle, but somewhere along the way, I had lost myself. Perimenopause has created another layer of challenges, and I felt stuck.
That’s when I reached out to a Naturopath friend I had met during my fertility journey. She introduced me to high-quality wellness products that have helped me regain my energy, balance, and well-being.
Now, I’m passionate about helping others on their own health journeys. I may not be an expert in everything, but I have years of experience in natural therapies, wellness, and resilience. If my journey can inspire or support even one person, then it has all been worthwhile.
