My most asked question is “what sort of cleanser should I be using?”
I always recommend the Botanical Cleanser with the Hale Makeup Removers. This is our most popular cleanser - why? Because it is amazing at cleaning your skin! It is an oil cleanser with no preservatives made from botanical oils.
Even if you have an oily skin it is perfect as a pre-cleanse followed by your regular cleanser.
If you have a normal to dry skin then it’s perfect on its own!
Using a cleansing sponge ensures you remove every bit of makeup and residue from your skin. They are more effective and more environmentally friendly than wipes and way better for your skins microbiome.

Part 3: The Microbiome Principle.

Most of you told me your skin feels balanced and calm. That means something in your routine is working — and I want to help you understand exactly what that is.

Because balanced skin isn’t luck. It’s the result of a microbiome that’s being consistently supported rather than disrupted.

Swipe for the five signs your microbiome is healthy — and how to protect each one.

Save this one. It’s the checklist I wish every one of my clients had before they started changing things that didn’t need changing.

And if your skin doesn’t feel balanced yet — go back to Part 1 and Part 2 of this series. That’s where we start.

“I say this to every client when the weather turns cold… your skin only gives you around 6 minutes of natural sun protection a day.
6 minutes!!
SPF is a year-round non-negotiable, and I won’t stop saying it! ☀️❄️

SPF is the best anti-aging product you could ever use!

Save this post — your future skin will thank you.”

Part 2: the microbiome principle

Most people I see describe their skin as sensitive, reactive and can’t tolerate much.

And almost every time the products they are using are disrupting their microbiome - the ecosystem of bacteria that live on the skin and regulate almost everything.

When you remove that disruption, even for a few weeks, something remarkable happens - the skin regulates itself!

That is what I built Hale Botanicals around. Products that support what’s already there rather than stripping it back and starting over again.

Part 3 next week: how to tell whether your current routine is supporting or disrupting your microbiome.

Follow so you don’t miss it.

We are very proud to be supporting the Wodonga Charity Gala Day for Sunshine Trust.

Everyone at someone point Has either experienced or had a loved one experience cancer. The Sunshine trust is a local charity that raises funds to ensure cancer patients in the Albury Wodonga region can access high-quality care, equipment, and support services close to home.

What a wonderful service to have in our local area! .aw

Every formula starts with one question: will this support your skin’s microbiome, or disrupt it?

Not, is it natural? Not, is it clean or does it smell nice?
Will it work with what your skin is already trying to do.

That’s the idea I’ve been building around as a skin therapist watching clients struggle with products that were supposed to help them.

Your skin isn’t broken. It just needs to be supported.

That’s Hale Botanicals
