Yep… apparently our collagen starts packing its bags earlier than we thought
And considering collagen is one of the things helping our skin stay firm and plump… we’d quite like it to stick around, thanks. 😅
But as we get older, our bodies naturally start making less of it.
And then menopause comes along like it needed to add something else to the list 🙄
During the first 5 years of menopause, skin collagen can drop by around 30%. 😳
Oh, and the sun isn’t exactly helping either. ☀️ Too much sun exposure can speed up collagen breakdown.
So consider this your friendly reminder that SPF isn’t just about avoiding sunburn, your collagen would quite like you to wear it too. 💃🏼
Basically… our collagen has a few things working against it.
Which brings us to RF skin tightening 👀
RF uses heat to get things happening beneath the skin and encourage your body to produce more collagen over time.
No, we can’t tell our collagen it’s not allowed to age.
But we can give it a bit of a nudge.
