Manual Lymphatic Drainage

With the cold settling in, this time of year can expose us to colds, flu’s and covid – 19. These illnesses can cause our lymphatic system (lymph nodes and lymph fluid) to become congestion and be unable to effectively remove the waste product left over by illness. Manual lymphatic Drainage or MLD is a light contact, skin stretching massage that helps to stimulate lymph fluid and manually move it along pathways to be emptied. Some signs that could indicate your experiencing congestion post illness could include:
- brain fog
- persistent exhaustion (physical and mental)
- longer recovery time after illness
- tenderness in armpits, abdomen or groin
- localized swelling in lower extremities
