There was so much love surrounding this wedding. 🤍

From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed so warmly by such an incredible family, and it was genuinely so special to be part of the bridal team for the day.

One of my favourite parts was having the opportunity to witness and learn about some of the beautiful cultural traditions woven throughout the celebrations. It was such a privilege to be welcomed into those moments while doing what I love.

A beautiful family, a beautiful celebration and a wedding I feel very lucky to have been a small part of. 🤍

What a night✨
Last night was the Federation University Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards Gala, and I’m still taking it all in.

Hair Identity Studio was incredibly proud to be a finalist in both the City of Ballarat Creative Industries Business Award and the Central Highlands Water Trade Business Award.

We didn’t take home an award this year, but I genuinely left with such a full heart❤️Something my mum would often say growing up was, “You don’t know their story”, and over the years those words taught me to look beyond what I could see.

Then I became a mum, and my two daughters taught me that understanding also means speaking up and asking what could be done differently.

Learning to acknowledge the things we don’t always see has shaped Hair Identity Studio into the salon it is today, and I’m incredibly grateful to have clients who trust me with more than their hair.

In the lead-up to the Gala, I reached out to Commerce Ballarat and asked whether we could incorporate a Reset Space for guests who might experience sensory overwhelm. They were not only open to the idea, they genuinely wanted to learn more about sensory overwhelm and what could help create a more supported environment for guests. Together, we were able to bring the Reset Space to life for the night.

Hearing it acknowledged during the evening was one of the proudest moments of the night for me. I honestly felt like I had already won something, because awareness is what creates change.

So a very huge thank you to the entire team at Commerce Ballarat, Federation University, City of Ballarat, Central Highlands Water and everyone who makes these awards possible.

Congratulations to Vic Urban Plumbing, winner of the Central Highlands Water Trade Business Award, and fellow finalist Twomey Homes Ballarat. And Congratulations to Ballarat International Foto Biennale winner of the City of Ballarat Creative Industries Business Award, and fellow finalist The Pottage.

Both categories were filled with such strong local businesses, so it really was an honour for Hair Identity Studio to be recognised among them.

Embracing your natural grey doesn't have to mean an awkward grow-out. Foils were placed intentionally throughout the hair, followed by a customised gloss to soften unwanted warmth. 🩶

Apparently my last post was Christmas... and somehow we're nearly halfway through the year. 😅 I promise I haven't disappeared!
The reality is I've been busy doing what I love most, looking after my clients. I've taken plenty of photos along the way, but between appointments, salon upgrades and life admin social media was a little left behind.

So over the coming weeks, you may notice a few photos and updates appearing that are a little overdue.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support Hair Identity Studio, whether you've visited the salon, recommended me to someone else, or simply followed along quietly in the background. It never goes unnoticed, and I'm incredibly grateful for every one of you. If you're patiently waiting for an appointment on my waitlist, I promise I see you too, I'm contacting clients as soon as appointments become available.
