We’re looking for a bright, bubbly and enthusiastic junior salon assistant to join our friendly team!

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves working with people, has an interest in hair and fashion and is eager to learn.

Duties include:

• General salon cleaning and presentation
• Assisting at the basin
• Helping keep the salon running smoothly
• Providing excellent customer service with a smile

Hours:
📍 Thursday night & Saturday morning

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe what we’ve achieved in just one week! Thanks to everyone sharing, tagging, and spreading the word on Facebook, we’ve managed to reconnect with so many people. The numbers are looking amazing!

This will be my last post for a little while as I’m now focusing on putting together a photo slideshow for the reunion. If you have any photos from your time at the salon, I’d love for you to send them through. I’ll be putting them onto a USB to play on the night.

Please keep tagging people and sharing the event..If you can think of anyone we’re still missing, pop their name in the comments and I’ll do my very best to track them down.

Lady Bae Reunion – Let’s Bring the Team Back Together!


Lady Bae was established in 1975 by Cheryl, with her sister Vicki soon joining the salon to begin her apprenticeship. Dianne originally came on board as the receptionist, but before long, she too was inspired to pick up the scissors and begin her own career in hairdressing.

Over the years, Lady Bae employed many talented team members and became widely recognised for its commitment to education, creativity and excellence. Training and competitions were at the heart of the salon’s philosophy, with the team continually striving to achieve the highest standards through the Victorian/Australia Hairdressers Association.

Their dedication to developing skills, nurturing creativity and supporting their team helped establish Lady Bae as a highly respected and successful salon, leaving a lasting legacy within Ballarat’s hairdressing industry.
What an iconic business—and we feel incredibly fortunate to have begun our own apprenticeships within its walls.

With so many wonderful people having been part of the Lady Bae story over the years, we think it’s time to bring everyone together again!

We’re working towards organising a Lady Bae reunion for all former staff as it would be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share memories, look back at old photos and celebrate the friendships and experiences created through this very special salon.

A huge congratulations to Molly on qualifying last week after 3½ years of dedication, hard work, and commitment in the salon!

She has been an absolute pleasure to teach—always eager to learn, committed to her clients, and bringing such a warm, positive personality to the salon every day.

Watching Molly grow into the talented stylist she is today has been so rewarding. I couldn’t be prouder of everything she’s achieved and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

After the sad passing of Dianne. Vicki, Cheryl, and some past employees thought it would be great to organize a reunion to get as many past staff together as possible.
