What makes a great wedding supplier?
Communication.
Reliability.
Professionalism.
These things might not sound glamorous, but they're often what separates a good wedding experience from a stressful one.
The best suppliers don't just deliver a service.
They help you feel supported throughout the entire journey.

One of the first questions I ask every bride is:
"How do you want to feel on your wedding day?"
Most brides answer before they've even thought about hair or makeup.
Confident. Beautiful. Relaxed. Comfortable. Elegant.
The styling comes after the feeling.
Because the best bridal look isn't just about how you look. It's about how you feel when you're wearing it.

I'll be exhibiting at the Wedding Expo on Thursday 17 September and I'd love to meet you.
If you're currently planning your wedding, this is the perfect opportunity to chat about your bridal hair and makeup, ask questions about the booking process, and learn how I help brides feel confident and prepared for their wedding day.
Whether you've just started planning or already have your venue booked, come and say hello. I'd love to hear all about your wedding plans.
What month are you getting married?

What Happens During a Bridal Consultation?

A bridal consultation is where your wedding day beauty vision starts to come to life.

We'll discuss your wedding style, dress, colour palette, venue, timeline, and the overall look you want to achieve. I'll ask questions about your hair, skin, beauty routine, and any concerns you may have, so every recommendation is tailored specifically to you.

This is also your opportunity to share inspiration photos, ask questions, and receive professional guidance on what will work best for your features, style, and wedding day plans.

The goal isn't just beautiful hair and makeup. It's creating a clear plan, building trust, and ensuring you feel confident and excited about your wedding day beauty experience.

When Should You Schedule Your Bridal Preview?

One of the most common questions I get from brides is, "When should I book my bridal preview?"

My recommendation? Within 3 months of your wedding day.

Scheduling your preview too far in advance can sometimes lead to second-guessing. Trends change, inspiration photos change, and you may find yourself questioning decisions you were originally excited about.

A preview held closer to your wedding allows us to:

• Finalise a look that reflects your current vision
• Ensure your hair, colour, and skin are similar to how they'll be on the day
• Refine the details and make any necessary adjustments
• Build confidence so you know exactly what to expect

The goal of a bridal preview isn't just to choose a hairstyle or makeup look. It's to leave feeling certain, excited, and completely confident in your choices.

Book your wedding date early. Book your preview closer to the day.

Top Mistakes Brides Make When Planning Their Wedding Beauty Services

After 17 years in the beauty industry, I've seen firsthand how thoughtful planning can create a calm, enjoyable wedding morning and how a few common oversights can add unnecessary stress. Here are some of the biggest mistakes brides make when organising their hair and makeup services:

Waiting Too Long to Book

Most experienced bridal artists have limited availability and popular wedding dates can book out well in advance. Securing your beauty team early gives you the best chance of working with professionals whose style and approach align with your vision.

Skipping a Bridal Preview Session

A bridal preview is one of the most valuable parts of the planning process.

Many brides have inspiration photos saved but haven't seen those looks translated onto their own features, hair type, colouring, dress style, or overall wedding aesthetic. A preview session allows us to explore ideas together and determine whether what you think you want is actually what feels right for you.

Just as importantly, the preview helps build trust and rapport with your artist. By the time your wedding day arrives, we already know what works, what needs refining, and exactly how to achieve your desired look. This preparation ensures the day runs smoothly, eliminates uncertainty, and allows you to relax and enjoy the experience.

Not Thinking Through the Wedding Morning Timeline

Hair and makeup is often one of the first services to begin on the wedding day, which means timing matters. A well-planned schedule helps keep the morning organised, relaxed, and running on time.

Choosing Trends Over Personal Style

Trends come and go, but your wedding photographs will last a lifetime. The most successful bridal looks are those that reflect your personality and make you feel like the best version of yourself.

Making Major Skincare Changes Close to the Wedding

Introducing new products, treatments, or skincare routines too close to the wedding can sometimes lead to irritation or unexpected reactions. Consistency is usually the safest approach in the weeks leading up to your day.

Underestimating Bridal Party Requirements

If your bridesmaids, mother of the bride, or other family members require styling services, these details should be discussed early. Accurate numbers allow for proper scheduling and ensure everyone is ready on time.

Choosing Based on Price Alone

Your hair and makeup artist plays a significant role in your wedding morning experience. Experience, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are just as important as creating beautiful hair and makeup.

My biggest piece of advice? Invest in professionals you trust, allow plenty of time for planning, and never underestimate the value of a bridal preview session. The more preparation completed before your wedding day, the more confident and relaxed you'll feel when the day finally arrives.

✨ This is why I love what I do.

For me, hair and makeup has never been about simply creating a beautiful finished look. It's about listening to my clients, understanding what they want and making sure they feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.

To go from a client reluctantly booking after previous bad experiences to being trusted with their wedding hair and makeup is incredibly special.

Thank you for the beautiful words and, most importantly, for putting your trust in me. 🤍

🤍 My favourite part of working with bridal clients?

It's watching the moment everything comes together.

The dress is on, the hair and makeup are complete, and the excitement of the day really starts to sink in. Seeing a bride look in the mirror and feel confident, beautiful, and completely herself is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Being part of these special moments is a privilege I never take for granted. ✨

Every business has a beginning. Ours was a little unexpected.

Before LMT Artistry, Emily first experienced the beauty and creative industries through modelling.

During a large group shoot, some unexpected hair and makeup no-shows meant someone needed to step in. Emily did just that, learning on the fly and discovering an unexpected passion in the process.

That moment sparked an interest that grew into a love for hair and makeup artistry and, eventually, LMT Artistry.

It wasn’t the career path she had planned, but sometimes the most meaningful journeys begin when you simply say, “I’ll give it a go.” ✨

I have been really enjoying this heartleaf 70 intense calming cream, my skin has been a bit delicate with some eczema flareups but this has settled it right down without making my face feel like it has been set on fire in the meantime.

It has a smooth semi-thick texture, isn't full of my known allergens and is a winner in my book. Thanks and
