Macquarie Hair

In this video, we create an informal upstyle for a young lady that wanted something that was simple, playful and in keeping with her personal style. We settled upon a half-up, half-down styling with a flower bun at the rear. We hope you like the outcome.

Natural Upstyle

Christmas and New Year is a time when many people are attending events that call for that little bit more formality in the hair department. Upstyling caters for this by preparing the hair for a special occasion whilst not making a permanent change to ones normal daily look.

In this video, we create a soft and gracious appearance Upstyle. We take long, straight and thick hair and transform it into an elegant Upstyle suited to his young lady. The techniques used here revolve around creating a soft and natural look as the final outcome. It is akin to producing a formal style with an informal naturalness to it.

We use several methods to reduce the severity of the initial straightness of Gabi's hair along with a simple technique to build in a little bit of volume onto the top of the head. This balances the bun that we create at the rear. The outcome is a very natural look that will allow Gabi to grace any type of formal or semi-formal event.

In this video, we create a medium length wave cut using rounded edge cutting and minimal layering techniques. Shomei has normal thickness with an element if frizziness to it. We use a variety of cutting methods ensuring that it retains shape and volume. This assists in managing the small amount of frizz.

In this video, we create a typical Bob cut style using a combination of cutting techniques. Robyn has very thin/fine hair which makes it difficult to create and maintain shape and the appearance of volume. We use a combination of techniques to create an 'overlay' of hair across the rear of the head. This, in combination with a lower than usual division point (2-3cm below the occipital bone) creates build up as we layer the hair. The front is finished with a simple trim to the fringe.
