Letâs talk about inflammation and skin needling
Skin needling creates micro injuries in the skin to trigger growth factors who are responsible for encouraging skin cell formation, new collagen activity, replacement of old vessels and encouraging delayed wound healing.
With these micro injuries, inflammation is normally present. This includes redness, swelling, pain and heat as our four cardinal signs.
These signs can linger in the skin for roughly 24 hours after needling and are the bodyâs way of telling you they are responding to the injury.
