Last night hairChi was blessed by the Bendigo Chinese Association Lion Team 大金山瑞獅 for the Year of the Fire Horse. Not only the salon but my neighbours Harpoon Social Club and Brewers Collective.

We have had the most amazing trip and here are a few of the many many many photos I’ve taken. I will be back on board next week where I’m sure I will spend a lot of time chatting about this trip

If you don’t already know. hairChi will be closed for the next three-ish weeks. We will reopen February 19th.
I’ve been looking forward to returning to Japan and the time has come. It’s gonna be cold but I’m prepared. Will post some pics in the coming weeks

Last night on my way home from work I was hit by a car going through a roundabout ( didn’t give way to me). I don’t remember much of the accident except coming to in the back of an ambulance. I’m okay, with a very painful shoulder and ankle. It does mean that I won’t be able to work for a while and want to apologise to anyone who has a booking with me this and next week.
I also want to implore everyone to be aware of motorbikes on the road. We don’t have the greatest protection and all it takes is one distracted driver to change our lives forever.

Happy 86th Birthday to one my favourite clients Barbra Robertson. One of the coolest octogenarians I know.

This Saturday 10am I will be having the salon blessed by and for the Year of The Snake. Come on down to watch. There will be crackers.

Hello, hi and g’day if you’re new here! It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves so here goes it…

We are Niel, Simon and Brett, owners and operators of Brewers Collective here in the heart of Bendigo. This journey of ours has been years in the making and all started out when we were three strangers who happened to get chatting in a bar about bloody good beer and Brett gave Niel and Simon a sample of his latest brew- they knew this was too good not to be shared with the world (our little world of Bendigo atleast!). Brett started brewing in University (because, you know… times are tough in uni and anything to save a dollar or two!) but that turned into more of a passion.

Lots of trial and error in the home brewing scene and many meetings over different recipes and brews later… a business plan was developed. Once a site was secured, hard bloody work in renovations and countless hours getting the space to where it is now, we have never looked back.

Our mission is simple, making good bloody drinkable beer and making it accessible. We all work in the brewery, we are proud of what we have created and so thankful for our small amazing team that helps us bring our vision to life, every single day. We are proud to be a part of the Bendigo community and love supporting small businesses.
