HOW MANY ROWS OF WEFTS DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to wefts. The amount of rows you need depends on your natural hair density, length, thickness and the result you’re wanting to achieve.

1 ROW — Perfect for adding volume, filling out fine ends or adding a little extra length to fine hair while keeping things lightweight and natural.

2 ROWS — Our most common option for clients wanting noticeable length and fullness with a seamless blend.

3 ROWS — Ideal for thicker hair, shorter hair, or clients wanting a fuller transformation where more hair is needed to create the perfect blend.

4 ROWS — Best suited to very thick, dense or short natural hair, or for clients wanting maximum length and fullness while still keeping the finished result balanced and natural.

More rows doesn’t automatically mean “better” — the goal is to use the right amount of hair for your natural hair. Too little can leave the extensions looking disconnected, while too much can add unnecessary weight and tension.

Every install is customised around your natural hair, scalp and desired result so your extensions look seamless, feel comfortable and grow out beautifully. 🤍

At Xtendit Hair Extensions, we don’t believe in a one-shade-fits-all approach. Most hair has a mix of tones throughout — from cooler blondes at the root to slightly darker or warmer ends — and that’s exactly why custom blending creates the most beautiful result.

For this client, we custom mixed 3 different extension colours to perfectly replicate the dimension already in her natural hair. By combining multiple shades, we were able to blend everything seamlessly for a soft, natural and more luxurious finish.
