I've been seeing the trend where businesses share their "before and now" photos, showing how far they've come.
I absolutely love it, and part of me wishes I could join in.
The truth is, I can't.
Many people know I come from lived experience. Before starting my journey here, I worked in the beauty industry in Melbourne. It was a fast-paced world that pushed me to my limits, and during one of the hardest periods of my life, I made the decision to delete almost every photo of myself from 2011 and earlier.
Not because I'm ashamed of where I've come from, but because at the time I needed to let go of a chapter that carried a lot of pain.
While I can't share my "before" in photos, I can share it through my story.
Despite everything I've been through, one thing never left me—my passion for the hair and beauty industry. That's why I still love creating beautiful hair, helping people feel confident, and making my clients feel seen and valued.
If my past has taught me anything, it's this: it's okay to be yourself. You don't have to fit into someone else's idea of where you belong. Your experiences don't define your worth—they shape your strength.
Every chapter, even the difficult ones, has helped me become the person I am today, and for that, I'm grateful.
So, instead of sharing a "before" from years ago, here's the beginning of my new chapter—where I restarted my dream from a humble loungeroom after returning to the industry. It wasn't glamorous, but it was built with determination, hope, and a whole lot of heart.
And now, here's my little space. It may not be the finished destination, but it's another milestone in the journey. My hope is that this little space continues to grow alongside my business, one client, one smile, and one transformation at a time.

Using flat wefts with the Invisible Weft Method, we can evenly distribute the weight throughout the hair for maximum comfort, a natural finish, and beautiful movement.
