This transformation is such a beautiful example of having the best of both worlds 🌀

My lovely client Yonni Muller already had two rows of existing locs, but she was feeling called to add more. So yesterday we spent the day creating another four rows, using only her own beautiful long hair.

I started by sectioning out each row, then created every loc individually by hand — slowly watching the transformation come together.

We intentionally left the crown of her hair loose, so she can still enjoy her long natural hair while having a beautiful mix of locs underneath.

I absolutely LOVE the finished result 🤎

And just as much as I love creating the hair, I love the days spent connecting, chatting and getting to know the beautiful humans sitting in my chair.

Yesterday was a BIG one ✨

A massive transformation for a very special client, and I feel so grateful that I got to be a part of this journey with her.

This was so much more than just creating dreadlocks. It was a journey of patience, transformation and stepping into her power.

She started with very short hair and had been growing it out especially so we could create her locs which was a journey in itself.

Before her appointment, I handmade all of her natural hair dreadlock extensions, blending four different hair colours together to create the perfect match for her natural hair.

Then yesterday, we began. 🤎

Sectioning her hair, creating all of her little baby locs, and then weaving and crocheting each handmade extension into them.

Watching the whole transformation come together was honestly so beautiful. There was something really sacred about this one.

And the end result… absolutely gorgeous. ✨

Now the journey really begins.

I can’t wait to see how these babies settle, soften and evolve over the next six weeks before her first maintenance.

More than dreadlocks.
