Let me enhance that special moment in time with professional makeup & hair services for all occassio

💍 LOVELY BRIDES… I NEED YOUR ACTUAL DATE! 😂

A little public service announcement from your friendly neighbourhood makeup artist… 💄

When sending me a wedding enquiry, PLEASE include your full wedding date — DAY, MONTH & YEAR. 📅

“March.”
“October next year.”
“Sometime in spring.”

All excellent periods of time. 😂
Unfortunately, none of them tell me whether I’m actually available for your wedding.

It usually means I have to message back, wait for a reply, find out the date and THEN check my diary — when I could have given you an answer straight away.

So, to save us both from unnecessary message ping-pong, send me:

💍 Full wedding date
📍 Getting-ready location/suburb
💄 Number of people needing makeup and/or hair
⏰ What time you need to be ready

Then I can get straight to the important stuff — Am I available? What will it cost? And can we make you look absolutely fabulous?

(Spoiler: the answer to the last one is yes. 😉)

Help a small-business woman and her increasingly overworked calendar out. 😂❤️

Wishing you all a very blessed Celebration of families, friends and love in whatever format you choose to celebrate this time of year.
May 2026 bring you joy, happiness and peace.
My wish moving forward is that we choose compassion, kindness and understanding for others and ourselves. 👩❤

MAKEUP ARTISTS — are you actually making a profit? 💸

This one’s an eye opener 👇

$300++ a face too expensive? Not at all.

Let’s break down what the real profits look like for a makeup artist charging $150 per face (even $200) — and running a legitimate business.

👰‍♀️ Bridal party of 5 at $150 each = $750
	•	$100 travel fee = $850 total

Sounds great, right? But you don’t get to take that home.

💄 Product use: around $67.26 per person = $336 gone
💰 What’s left looks like profit… until you factor in
tax, GST, super + other expenses.
That’s when reality hits.

Remember — the more you earn in a year, the higher your tax bracket.

Now add in insurance, admin, petrol, tolls, socials, and equipment costs…
Even studio rent (whether you’re renting or have invested in a setup at home) — it all adds up fast.

So artists — after you calculate what you make, then minus your expenses, tax, and super —
👉 are you really making a profit?

$20.12 an hour doesn’t sound great for all your hard work.

Just like every other vendor in the industry, we need to pause, run the numbers, and plan for a profitable + sustainable future….

And remember we’re a luxury service. It’s not just fun and games 🙌

🧾 These figures are rough estimates and will vary from artist to artist. Prices are in AUD.

This video wasn’t made to shame any artists on pricing. Its was made to help educate artist to know their figures and charge accordingly. 🙌🙌 07/12/2025

Next time you question prices for your hair and makeup artist, please consider what you are actually paying for.
Remember this doesn’t even cover insurance, additional learning costs etc. Just the basics.
