The more I’ve worked with extensions, the more I’ve realised it’s never really about creating the most length or adding the most hair.

It’s the little things.

The way the weight falls through the mid-lengths.
The way the hair moves naturally.

For me, being an extensionist has always been about understanding the person and the hair sitting in front of me.

Every client is different, so I look at their natural density, hairline, movement, lifestyle and colour before deciding how I’m going to approach their extensions.

With every application, I’m thinking about where each bond needs to sit, how the weight is distributed and, most importantly, how I can protect the integrity of the natural hair while creating a beautiful result.

I’ve spent years working with extensions and I’m still learning, refining and finding ways to make my work better.

It’s actually one of the things I love most about this part of hairdressing , there is always another tiny detail to perfect.

These days I’m lucky enough to also share what I’ve learnt with other stylists through education, but being behind the chair and creating transformations like this is still where I feel most at home.
