Hair colour correction is often a gradual process that takes time and patience. Trying to lift dark box dye or correct uneven colour too quickly can compromise the condition of the hair. In many cases, the healthiest approach is to work in stages over several appointments, allowing the hair to maintain its strength and integrity throughout the process.
Social media has created unrealistic expectations around dramatic hair transformations, making it seem as though they happen seamlessly in a single sitting. A short before and after video rarely shows the full story the hours involved, the strand testing, the previous colour history, or the multiple appointments that may have taken place before reaching the final result.
Every head of hair is different. Previous colour, porosity, condition, texture, natural pigment and the desired result all influence what is realistically achievable. Understanding the process and respecting what each individual head of hair can safely handle is far more important than rushing to recreate a transformation seen online.
Sometimes, the best colour correction is the one that happens slowly, in stages, while protecting the integrity of the hair every step of the way.

RESET IS THE NEW LUXURY.
The healthiest hair doesn’t begin with more products.
It begins with removing what no longer belongs.
After more than a year of thoughtful development, Moss & Mane Founder, Sara, created the Detox Clarifying Shampoo to deliver a deep, refreshing cleanse without compromising the hair’s natural balance.
Activated Charcoal helps draw away excess oil, product build-up and everyday impurities.
A Gentle Cleansing Complex lifts away residue while respecting the scalp and hair.
Glycerin & Betaine replenish moisture during cleansing, leaving hair feeling soft, balanced and comfortable.
Hair feels lighter. The scalp feels refreshed. Movement returns.
A modern weekly reset for those who colour their hair, use styling products, oil their scalp, swim, train—or simply believe that beautiful hair begins with a healthy scalp.
Moss & Mane Detox Clarifying Shampoo.
Now available in salon.

Smooths and seals the hair cuticle for beautifully glossy, light-reflecting results.
2. Tone refresh
Ideal for softening unwanted brassiness, refreshing faded tones, or simply adding a luminous finish to your hair.
3. Strengthening Condition

No damage. No long-term commitment. Just healthy-looking, gorgeous shine.
Natural salon sounds, Amer’s commentary in the background…shampoo at the basin is the perfect add-on to your service.

Grey blending is one of my favourite ways to soften the transition to grey, but I also believe it’s one of the most misunderstood services on social media.
I wrote this because I think our industry has a responsibility to show the whole picture, not just the before and after.
If you’re considering grey blending, or you’re simply curious about what it actually involves, I hope this gives you a more honest perspective.
I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂 Sara xx
