A student spotlight for Issy from NORTH ALBURY’S EYEBROW SPECIALISTS & COSMETIC TATTOO ARTIST in North Albury, who recently completed our Eyebrow Waxing & Shaping Course.

Issy is already working as an eyebrow specialist and cosmetic tattoo artist, but she still chose to invest in proper education and strengthen the technical process behind her brow services.

Inside the course, students learn how to consult with their client, map the brows, create a suitable shape, wax safely and provide the correct aftercare. They then complete the full service on a real model for their practical exam.

It means Issy now has a clear process to follow at the treatment bed instead of having to question each step as she works.

Congratulations, Issy. You should be so proud of the care you put into both your education and the clients who sit in your chair.

Our online Eyebrow Waxing & Shaping Course is available through the link in our bio.

If you’ve ever followed your usual process and still ended up with brows that felt too heavy, uneven, flat, patchy or simply not right for the client, this carousel will help you see what may have been missing.

Read through to understand why experience alone has limits—and what actually helps you move beyond them.

Beyond Brows 2.0 is designed to help you assess each client properly, adapt your decisions with confidence and understand the reasoning behind every step, instead of relying on guesswork.

🤎 Official presale opens 7th September | 6–7pm. 🤎

Be there for the presale because this is your opportunity to access the training that helps turn repeated experience into real understanding.

You can know every mapping point and still freeze when the client in front of you has brows that do not behave like the ones you trained on.

That is the part of brow education I think gets missed.

We spend so much time teaching artists how to complete the service that they qualify knowing the order of the steps, but still second-guess themselves the second asymmetry, unusual growth, sparse areas or a difficult correction enters the appointment.

And that is exactly why I created this course…

Not to teach you another rigid brow formula.

To teach you what to look at before you choose the formula in the first place.

This carousel gives you a glimpse into the gap Beyond Brows 2.0 was designed to fill — and why being technically capable of doing brows is only the beginning of becoming genuinely confident with them.

Swipe through, save this if decision-making is still the part that slows you down, and follow Amy Williams - Lash & Brow Educator, Judge & Mentor for more brow education that teaches you to understand the client in front of you rather than copy the one before her. 🤭

I started as a woman with an idea, no handouts and no network—and later, I had to learn how to keep building while becoming a mother too.

These are five sacrifices people didn’t always see:

1. Security

I gave up the comfort of knowing exactly what I would earn each week. In the beginning, there were no guarantees—only the belief that what I was building could eventually become something bigger.

2. Time

Nights, weekends and hours other people spent switching off were often spent learning, working, teaching and figuring out the next problem. There was always something that needed me.

3. Money

Before the business could pay me properly, I had to keep paying into it. Training, products, equipment, websites, mistakes—anything I earned often went straight back into building the business.

4. Comfort

When you don’t have a network, you have to walk into rooms alone. You have to introduce yourself, ask questions, take rejection and keep showing up before anyone knows your name.

5. The belief that I could do everything perfectly

Motherhood changed the sacrifice. My time was no longer only mine, and the guilt could come from both directions—working when I wanted to be present and being present while thinking about work.

I had to accept that balance wouldn’t always look balanced.

But starting without connections gave me an edge.

I learnt how to create opportunities instead of waiting to be invited.
I learnt how to earn trust, build genuine relationships and become someone worth knowing through the work I produced.

Today, Lash Prodigy has helped launch more than 27,000 beauty careers.
I’ve become an educator, mentor, judge and award-winning business owner—with a network I built from the ground up.

My biggest win isn’t that I eventually found the right people.

It’s that I became the person I once needed when I had no one handing me a way in.

Years ago, that would have felt like failure.

This time, it showed me just how much my “definition of success” had changed.
