This was an extremely hard decision to make. Many deliberations and concerns, back and forths and just sheer panic to be completely honest. ⁠
I built this space just over a year ago now not wanting just another salon, but a sanctuary. A place to feel. A sacred space. A moment in time just for you. ⁠
In doing so I tried really hard to keep that awful word 'money' out of it. Turns out, running a business on the bare minimum isn't particularly conductive to giving just that. I can't share my space with as many people, I can't give all of me to all of you without a little more help in the background.⁠
I will be able to spend more time creating a peaceful studio, a better educated team, happy staff who can call Biscuit home and can hold space for even more deserving clients. ⁠
Please know I haven't taken this lightly and am here for any questions or concerns ⁠

🥂🥂 Biscuit’s FIRST Birthday 🥂🥂

Exactly twelve months have passed today since I walked into this space (finally finished) ready to start my first day. Part exhaustion, part excitement, all very emotional.
The last year has felt like a whirlwind of “didn’t I open just yesterday?!” To feeling like I’m home, always have been here.
With sooo many wonderful days, wonderful clients, joyous moments shared, MANY tears shed, late nights, long days, so much bloody support and the most amazing community of people. I wouldn’t have it any other way 🤎

A certain mention to Leigh Aitken who has been my biggest cheerleader!! Everyone needs a Leigh in their lives, and I thank you so much for putting up with me as your crazy boss.
Callum Mcguffie for handling all of the late night worries, the days I’ve come home so spent I couldn’t talk and the crazy amount of good and bad tears. You are the calm to my storm. I love you
And finally my parents Kerryn Sheldon the endless comfort and support has been so appreciated. Never a moment I can’t call on their love to fill my ‘proud cup’ (which having these two around, never gets too low 😍)

And just like that, Christmas has arrived and the year has come to an end. I cannot thank every single one of you beautiful humans enough for the support, laughs, tears and the wonderful company over what has been one of the biggest years professionally for me!

That being said I’ll be taking a break over the holiday season and the salon will be closed until January 4th. Including calls, texts and DM’s (which will be all answered once we’re back up and running).

Enjoy this wonderful time with friends and family and I’ll see everyone on the flip side!
