🐾 Commander Memphis HQ Update ✈️

Attention humans — Commander Memphis reporting in with the latest squadron news from Little Bug HQ.

Our March camping mission was a complete success. I spent my time enjoying peaceful naps and quality relaxation while Cadet Maverick dedicated himself fully to rolling in dirt at every possible opportunity. We all have our hobbies. 🏕️🐶

Then came this strange human event called Easter… where the hoomans ate chocolate bunnies and DID NOT SHARE THEM. Frankly, I believe a formal complaint should be lodged.

Unfortunately, shortly after this, Captain Dad sustained an injury during what I can only assume was a highly dramatic human maneuver, resulting in a sliced-open finger and a trip for stitches. This meant walks, playtime, and quality scratching services were temporarily reduced. Thankfully, Air Marshal Mum stepped in to pick up the slack and maintain squad morale. ✈️💪

The last week has been particularly slow thanks to all the rain. While Air Marshal Mum did bravely take us on a few wet-weather walks, most of our time has been spent indoors… which unfortunately meant Cadet Maverick had far too much unused energy.

This resulted in:
• increased zoomies
• increased barking
• increased annoying me
• increased annoying Mum
• absolutely zero regrets from Maverick

Thankfully, the sun has finally returned, and we fully expect walk frequency to increase again immediately. Morale is improving rapidly. ☀️🐾

From pink to deep red 🥰

I meant to post this a couple weeks ago when I had clients help with moving their appointments so I could rush Riley to get some stitches after he thought it would be a fun idea to cut his finger open.

When my clients help me in moments like those it really shows me that owning my own business has given me so many things to be grateful for, but the biggest one will always be the people I get to share it with 🤍

I absolutely love the creative side of what I do — playing with colour, creating bold, fun fashion shades, and helping my clients walk out feeling like the best version of themselves. There’s something really special about being trusted with that transformation.

I also don’t take for granted the little everyday things… working from home, having my dogs nearby, and yes — even the occasional visit from my husband. It’s a kind of comfort and balance I always hoped for, and now get to live every day.

But the heart of it all, and the reason I chose to work for myself, is you — my clients.

I’ve always wanted my space to be more than just about hair. I wanted it to be somewhere we could connect, where I could really get to know you, where conversations go deeper than “what are we doing today?” — and I feel so incredibly lucky that it’s become exactly that.

This year especially has reminded me just how special you all are. The kindness, patience, and understanding you’ve shown when I’ve had to move appointments due to family emergencies… it honestly means more than I could ever properly put into words.

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully express how grateful I am. Supporting me not just in business, but as a human navigating life — that’s something I will never take lightly.

Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and being such an important part of this little business of mine 🤍

Every time I finish a lightening service, I have that moment where I question if anything’s really changed. That cheeky little voice in my head pipes up: “What are you even doing? There’s no difference.”

And then I look at the before photo… and immediately tell that voice to zip it.

Because WOW — what a transformation. She’s blonde, she’s bright, she’s absolutely STUNNING!!

I just wanted to pop on here and say something that feels really important right now 🤍

With the current state of the world, I completely understand that things can feel a little tight financially. If you need to cancel your appointment or adjust your service to better suit your budget, please know there is absolutely no judgment here, ever.

You will never be made to feel guilty for doing what you need to do — life comes first, always.

The only thing I kindly ask is that you give me as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or make changes to your booking. If you’re needing to switch your service, that’s especially important for me to know ahead of time, as I allocate specific time slots for each appointment. Even small changes can impact the flow of the day and other clients’ bookings.

I truly appreciate your understanding, your communication, and your continued support of my little business 🤍

🐶 Squadron Update — From Cadet Maverick ✈️

Hello humans, Cadet Maverick here reporting in (loudly, obviously).

Things around Little Bug HQ have been a little quieter lately, as my family has been sticking close together and supporting each other after the loss of Grandma. I’ve taken my role in this very seriously — providing emotional support through constant supervision, cuddles, and following Mum everywhere… yes, even the toilet. Privacy is not part of my training program. 💛

We’ve still been keeping up with lots of walks, which remain my absolute favourite mission. So many smells. So little time.

I would also like to formally announce that I have entered my “barky boy era.” I am currently testing out my big boy voice on things such as:
🍃 leaves
💨 the wind
🤔 suspicious noises and objects
🐶 Memphis
🚫absolutely nothing

It’s going great. I sound very impressive.

At home, I continue my important work which includes:
• Strategic sock theft
• Surprise zoomies at inappropriate times
• Light redecorating (with anything I can carry in my mouth)

Meanwhile, Commander Memphis is thriving in her “sleep under the trailer girl era.” It’s very exclusive. Very peaceful. Very do not disturb unless snacks are involved.

🚨 Upcoming Mission Alert 🚨
The squadron will be heading off on a small camping trip this weekend, which means the salon will be closed from the 27th to the 31st..

Planned activities include:
🏕️ Sleeping
💦 Swimming in creeks
🦴 Getting our leads tangled in absolutely everything
🤢 Possibly being sick in Dads car

Despite our different management styles, I can confirm we are both still exceptional, award-worthy good doggos. 🐕🐕

Good morning. I would like to start off by once again apologising for being so quiet. With the loss of Grandma, I have been busy supporting the family when I am not in salon.

But I am trying to get back to my usual posts plus some new things. And what better way to kick things off than to share the little bit of witch craft I performed to take Vibha from purple to vibrant pink. There was a lot of purple built up in there but we are both amazed by the end result and I hope she keeps this colour for a while because pink suits her so well!

If you’ve had a recent appointment, or have one coming up soon, you may already be somewhat aware that my beautiful Grandma’s health has been declining over the past week.

Last night, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. We were lucky enough to say our goodbyes, and she left this world knowing just how deeply loved she was.

On the 27th of July 2025, we said goodbye to Grandad. Last night, on the 27th of February 2026 — seven months to the day — Grandma followed him.

While my heart is broken, I find comfort in imagining her finding him again in heaven, and hearing him say, “There’s my girl.”

The next few weeks may feel a little heavy as we navigate this loss, but I’m hoping to keep things running as smoothly as possible in the salon. If I do need to make any changes to appointments, I’ll be in touch as soon as I can.

So to start off. This is Toni and her autumn vibes hair. Since she had red and green for Christmas I wanted to avoid using red again so we decided on some pinks and oranges.
