It had been a long couple of years since S had her first vivid colour done and I spent such a lovely and fun day with her last week.. It was a big job and took over 5 hours, but the end result was worth every minute.
Why does it take 5 hours 🤔I know you're wondering. Well to get this kind of red, true to colour, the hair must be pre lightened to a lightest blonde, so that's a couple of applications prior to the red even being opened!
Of course, I only use the best of the best, world leading products, which guarantees the integrity of all hair colours in my salon. It's so important not to use cheap products.

I hope everyone is safe and sound after the cyclone weather event. Floods are randomly affecting so many everywhere.
I'm happy to say, I'm back at work safely today and thought I'd share a few pics of my days at home without power mostly.
We definitely had much more water in 2022, but it's never fun to see a usually dry creek bed filling up when it's still pouring.
Speaking of pouring, during the early hours Saturday morning, the wind and rain was driving sideways and pouring into my house under the laundry and garage doors. So I managed to use my trusty blowdryer skills 😉 to get things dry enough to tape up my door as in the first pic!

When K came to see me a couple weeks ago, I was so happy to help her with a fresh colour and some scattered foiling to enhance her hair. Living in far north Queensland means there's not a lot of opportunities for a new hairdo, so I'm always so happy to give someone a pampering while they're in town! 😍

Sometimes a little TLC, a good quality shampoo and conditioning treatment, along with a haircut is all that's needed.
Not every appointment needs to be a big job to achieve gorgeous hair!

From a one length black wig to that big smile on Ls face, it's such a privilege to be able to help others feel good about themselves! 😍

L came to see me during her treatment for a health condition, bringing me a wig that needed restyled to suit her faceshape and lightened out to compliment her skintone.
Being that the wig was made from natural hair and great quality, I said yes, I thought I could help. I started by strand testing a couple of colours in the back underneath layers, just to determine what exactly was achievable.

Next, L came in, and I restyled the cut whilst she was wearing the wig, ensuring it was styled and cut to suit her features perfectly.

Finally, a big 5 hour colour day of both balayage, then a face frame and foils. Followed up with a beautiful toner to blend everything all together! The final result is just gorgeous don't you think?
The best part? Seeing that megawatt smile. 💞

When you're a mum with a child in the hospital, it's almost impossible to grab any time for yourself!
When S came to see me a few weeks ago, she was pushed for time and as much as she would've loved her colour redone, it just wasn't possible.
So I quickly shampooed her hair, using my a.m.a.z.i.n.g. silver shampoo and conditioner range and you can see for yourself how that turned out!
Along with a full restyled cut and dry, it really does look like a brand knew colour as well!! 💝

Its not often these days I get to start a new hair colour from all natural! So when J called into the salon to see if I could help her with a haircut she wasn't liking, I knew straight away what would suit her faceshape better, along with a fresh new colour to compliment her skintone and those eyes!
Once we'd had a chat, turned out we were both on the same page!

J has a lovely natural curl in her hair, especially once it was cut well. We then continued with some strategically placed foilyage, a hydration treatment and I smoothed it with some straighteners, leaving plenty of volume and bounce.

I then added some of the brand new, Australian made, Dream Curl cream (which has been flying off the shelf BTW so if you're a curly girl definitely pm me for all the deets on this one! )
to keep her hair smoother, while enhancing her lovely hair.

This is the end result and we both love it! ❤️

P.S. I also had fun giving J a lesson in managing a set of straighteners to curl her hair at home! I only use and recommend Cloud 9 heat tools.
