Why is it that when wedding/Formals and special event photos are posted, the hair stylist and makeup artist are almost always tagged, but the spray tan artist, nail technician, lash artist and other beauty professionals are often overlooked?

We’re part of the glam team too 🥺

Every flawless bridal glow, Formal & Semi, every red-carpet look, every photoshoot and special event is the result of a TEAM of talented professionals working together. We all invest our time, skill and passion into helping our clients feel incredible.

Recognition costs nothing, but it means everything to the small businesses behind the scenes. A simple tag can introduce us to new clients, support our businesses and acknowledge the contribution we’ve made.

I’ve even seen this happen on major media platforms. Tv & Movie credits.. If you’re showcasing someone’s special day or event, why not tag the entire team?

Over the years, this little business has grown so much , from spray tans to creating a full beauty & wellness space I’m truly proud of. Luxe Beautè Lounge better reflects the direction the brand is heading, while still staying true to where it all began.

So good to have my new “business partner” in for a spray tan today. 🤣Now that he owns 47% of my business, I figured I’d better give him the tan of his life.

But jokes aside...
Running a business isn’t just pretty Instagram posts, appointments and logos. Especially as a single mum building it all on your own.
People don’t see the nights you’re up replying to clients at 1am.
The school events you miss because you’re working late.
The anxiety over bills, rent, stock orders and whether you’ll make enough that week
The fact you can go months, sometimes years putting everything back into the business before paying yourself properly.
They don’t see you risking everything trying to build something meaningful for your kids and your tuture.
I’ve poured everything into building my businesses.. & the current rebrands of
Luxe Beautè Lounge & Coco Luxe Tan and the dreams behind them.
The sacrifices are real. The stress is real. The exhaustion is real. 😭
Small business owners already take huge risks every single day. So hearing about more changes that make it even harder for people trying to build something from the ground up honestly hits hard.

There has to be balance. Because the people building businesses in this country are also creating jobs, opportunities, communities and futures for their families.

Anyway... at least Albo’s tan came out flawless 🤎🤣
