I’ve had so many women recently tell me they’re nervous about coming to a new hairdresser.

They’re worried they won’t explain what they want properly.

Worried they’ll choose the wrong thing.

Worried their hair won’t turn out how they’re imagining it.

And honestly? I get it.

Hair is personal. When you’ve had a bad experience, or you’ve been disappointed before, sitting in someone else’s chair can feel like a really big thing.

So you don’t need to come to me with all the answers.

Just come as you are.

We’ll talk. I’ll listen. I’ll ask questions. I’ll look at your hair, your history, your lifestyle and what you’re hoping to achieve.

And we’ll work it out together.

Sometimes that means saying, “Yes, we can absolutely do that.”

Sometimes it means, “Let’s take a different approach.”

And sometimes the best thing we can do is nothing drastic at all.

There is no pressure to decide everything the moment you sit down.

My job isn’t to tell you what your hair should be.

It’s to help you understand your options, give you honest advice and create something that feels like you.

So if you’re feeling nervous about your first appointment, take a breath.

You don’t have to impress me.

You don’t have to know all the hair terminology.

And you definitely don’t have to have it all figured out.
