Let’s talk booking fees.

When you book an appointment, you are reserving your stylist’s time.

And their time is just as important as yours.

Why do we require a booking fee?

Your booking fee confirms that you intend to attend and allows us to reserve that time specifically for you.

It is not an extra charge.
It comes off the total cost of your appointment.

Your appointment must be confirmed more than 48 hours beforehand.

Fresha will send you a text or email with instructions to pay your booking fee.

If your appointment is still unconfirmed 48 hours beforehand, Fresha will automatically cancel it and release the time.

Why is an unconfirmed appointment cancelled?

Because we cannot hold several hours in a stylist’s day without confirmation that the client intends to attend.

Releasing the appointment gives another client the opportunity to book.

Last-minute changes affect more than your appointment.

Changing, reducing or cancelling your service at the last minute can leave gaps that are almost impossible to refill.

It can also disrupt the stylist’s day and affect the clients booked after you.

A colour appointment can reserve 3–5 hours.

When someone cancels late or doesn’t arrive, those hours usually cannot be replaced.

The stylist is still at work.
The salon still has wages and operating costs.
But the revenue allocated to that time is lost.

Late cancellations and no-shows have a real impact.

They can mean:

• Lost income for the stylist and salon
• Empty hours in the appointment book
• Another client missing out
• Delays and disruption for the next client

Booking an appointment means booking our time.

Please confirm your appointment, arrive for the service booked and give more than 48 hours’ notice if plans change.

It helps us protect our stylists’ time, our salon and every client booked after you.
