I’m giving out little nervous system comfort kits to my clients this week 🧚🏼‍♀️

So many people are struggling at the moment, and often one of the first things to feel the weight when the world gets tough is our nervous system.

Inside each little kit is some organically grown chamomile, a cup of tea to soothe your soul, a crystal to place over your heart chakra for a little healing energy, some incense to cleanse your space, and a bottle of herbal Motherwort medicine that I made for an assessment at uni.

Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is traditionally used as a calming nervine, helping to ease nervous tension, restlessness and feelings of overwhelm, particularly when stress is felt physically in the body. It’s a beautiful herb for encouraging a little calm and emotional balance when everything feels like a lot. 🌿

And, of course, a little hair sprout for some whimsy and joy 🌱✨

I always feel spoilt when my clients bring me flowers 🌻 I only keep them in the vase for a couple of days and then I wear them in my dreads, it brings me so much joy to wear fresh flowers in my hair 🌻🌼🌻

Well… it’s been a little while. 🌿

After an 8-month break from social media, I’m popping back in to say hello.

I stepped away from the hustle of posting so I could pour my heart into my studies, I’m in my second year studying a Bachelor of BHSc Naturopathy. It has been a rewarding and inspiring journey so far and I can’t wait to eventually weave this knowledge into the work I already love.

The fact that you’ve continued trusting me with your dreads over these past eight months, even while my social media took a break means heaps to me. Your loyalty has allowed me the space to grow and chase my dreams.

And to all my new clients who have found me during this time welcome to the tribe. Thank you for choosing me.

I am a hairdresser by trade but this year marks 20 years since I began specialising in dreadlocks. Looking back, I could never have imagined where this path would lead.

For those who haven’t visited before, my little studio is tucked in a peaceful, witchy forest oasis, a calm space where you can slow down and leave feeling a little lighter.

At the moment, I’m not taking on any new extension clients so I can balance my existing client base with uni 🍃
