Well loves, I’m sure a few of you have been wondering what Rupert and I have been up to.

We regaled you all with big plans of adventure but as Allen Saunders (not John Lennon as it happens) once wisely remarked:

‘Life is What Happens To You While You’re Busy Making Other Plans’.

Instead we’ve been living a slow life, healing and adjusting to the cataclysmic changes of recent events.

Current hobbies include but are not limited to: reading excellent books (thanks Emma 💓), drinking tea, sunning ☀️ ourselves, visiting with old friends, dinners, sunset drinks with my parents, long walks on the beach (suspiciously sans piña coladas), rodeos (yeehaw lady! As Ella once said)🐂, various market skirmishes, bike rides, occasional fits of fury at the injustice of it all and a few visceral ugly crying sessions.

On the whole we are doing great and happy and well. We both miss you all terribly (especially when I see pics of the old salon pop up on my phone 💔) and hope you are all doing well.

Dearest Gentle Reader,

It is with great pleasure that I bring you an update on my current whereabouts and plans. As some of you may know, I had initially intended to embark on a grand grey nomad tour of the vast and beautiful land of Australia with my faithful companion, Rupert the dog. However, as the winds of fate would have it, I have decided to alter my course and settle down in my charming hometown instead.

Fear not, dear clients, for all is well with me and Rupert. We have found a cozy little abode in which to rest our weary bones and are thoroughly enjoying the comforts of familiar surroundings. While the call of the open road may still whisper in my ear, for now, I am content to put down roots and savor the simple pleasures of home.

I trust that you will understand and support my decision, and I look forward to continuing to serve you with the same dedication and passion that you have come to expect from me. Should you find yourself in need of my services or simply wish to catch up and share tales of our respective journeys, do not hesitate to reach out.
