Va**ng is a growing trend among teens.
It involves sucking in vapours from a battery operated device that heats flavoured liquids.
Products bought in Australia are not supposed to contain ni****ne.
Those bought elsewhere, including on-line, often do, whether the labels say so or not.
This means they can be highly addictive, some even more so than ci******es.
Added to that, they can contain chemicals known to cause cancer - propylene glycol, glycerol and ethylene glycol to name some.
For these reasons, selling or providing e-ci******es and accessories to anyone under the age of 18 is illegal.
Police also have the power to confiscate va**ng products from minors carrying or using them in public.

The pair ran off toward Coramba Street, leaving the man with serious injuries to his face, body and legs.

We're asking for the public's help to identify those involved in an attack at Fairlight that left a man critically hurt.
Emergency services responded at about 4.30pm on Sunday to reports of an assault near the rockpool at Delwood Beach.
Police and ambulance crews arrived to find a man with serious head injuries.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital where his condition deteriorated, requiring emergency surgery.
Police have been told the 26-year old was with friends when they were involved in a verbal argument with four men.
That a hit from behind saw him fall, his head crashing into the ground.
Two of the group are described as being of Caucasian appearance, the other two Mediterranean/Middle Eastern.
Anyone who saw the attack, the lead up to it, or who can help identify those involved is asked to call us at the Dee Why police station on 9971 3399.
You can also get in touch through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.

Early last month, a 14-year old boy was treated at the Northern Beaches hospital for bruising to his face, head and body.
Police were told he'd been with friends at a Dee Why park when a group approached.
It was claimed the boy was punched in the head, face and body; kicked and stomped on; threatened with being stabbed; had property stolen and forced to drink urine.
Early yesterday, our Proactive Crime Team police went to homes in Narraweena and Forestville.
Two youths were arrested and property seized.
A 17 and 16 year old have been charged with:
- take and detain in company x 2
- intimidation x 2
- robbery in company
- affray.
They have been refused bail by both police and a Children's Court magistrate pending an appearance again next week.
