I’m incredibly honoured to be nominated for the 2026 Business Person of the Year at the Broome Business Excellence Awards.

DNTL Code has been built on a willingness to take risks, challenge what’s possible regionally and continue investing in bringing more healthcare closer to home.

To have that commitment recognised amongst Broome’s business community is incredibly meaningful.

Whatever the outcome, I’m proud of what we’re building and even more excited about what’s still to come. 🤍

I thought it was time for a little reintroduction, because I have had A LOT going on behind the scenes.

So, it is time to fill in some blanks about what I have been up to and what we are building at .code! I am excited to share more about my life and career as a founder and what it’s like living and working in Broome.

I’m still buzzing from Saturday night.

If you’d told me a few years ago that there would be a line of people waiting to come to an event I was hosting, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you.

To everyone who came along, supported us, celebrated with us and helped make the night what it was… thank you. It was a night I’ll never forget.

Gary has been a supporter, mentor and champion of not only me, but so many people and businesses across the Kimberley over the years. And naturally, he dressed up for the occasion.

And Luke. Luke was actually my patient back in my Karratha days, long before either of us knew we’d both end up in Broome. Since then he’s built an incredible local business Red and recently restored my car after our dog’s collar somehow managed to rip out my reverse sensor wiring!

One of the greatest joys of practising in a regional town isn’t just the people you meet. It’s the relationships you build along the way.

Patients become part of your community. Your community becomes part of your life.

A few weeks into our new space, the boxes are disappearing, the team is settling in, and it’s starting to feel a little less like a move and a little more like home.
. Now we’re all waiting for the to catch up.
