Kununurra, could you be any more beautiful 😍 the East Kimberley is like nothing else when it comes to wedding backdrops.

So privileged to travel to Kununurra to do makeup for this Queen and her girls!

Sweat season bridal makeup...

When you choose to get married in wet season, It's the prep and the products that keep your makeup in place all day.

It also helps by:
- not running around after getting your makeup and hair done
- having the air-conditioning pumped in the prep area
- keeping your touchup kit close or with a bridesmaid to dab away the sweat and reapply when needed

Keeping it simple and trusting your MUA who will have a bloody good setting spray on hand, is also key!

hydro grip primer. The right amount of sticky!
12mm pieces with their slay all day glue. You literally need a remover for this.
LashXtend mascara. This bish does not budge.

Last minute wedding? Computer says no.

Did you know in Australia, you need to lodge your notice of intended marriage no less than 30 days prior to the wedding?!

I didn't until last year when I had 2 brides organise a while wedding in a little over a month!

Including dress....I know right. 💀

Weddings are entirely personal and couples values vary wildly when it comes to their big day. You could splash a bucket load and spend months planning all the finer details or you could go barefoot on Redell Beach in 33 days.

The Billi is hot!

This venue has to be one of the best kept gardens in town! This stunning location has huge appeal in being able to get ready, have the ceremony & reception in the same place, and then every body being able to dance/stumble/crawl the 35m to bed!

This gorgeous day was about celebrating love in exactly the way that these two wanted! Boarding Willie Cruises by tender, surrounded by friends and family off the coast of Cable Beach, these two declared their love. Followed by sunset formalities with Kelly Morrow - Celebrant when their feet touched the beach again and a giant party! Their perfect day and celebration of love was so perfectly capture by Ben from Little Duo Photography 😍

Rouge side note…
I think people quickly forget, weddings are about the people getting married. It is beyond me when others impose their demands. Being team bride means I have had to step in and fend off some family members (and the odd entitled bridesmaids) when they upset the peace of the day. I could literally write a book….but for legal reasons…

To all the soon to be bridal support networks (friends, family, soon to be family) let 2024 be about celebrating a couples individual love and enjoying their way of doing things. It is not your time to shine, it is your time to support!
