Here are three haircuts I spent a ridiculous amount of time doing in the ’90s.

The first two have absolutely stood the test of time and I’d happily keep cutting them for another 30 years.

The last one? Let’s just say there was a period where seemingly every second person wanted it. Thankfully, some trends are best left exactly where we found them.

Watch until the end and tell me if you agree… or if you’re still secretly a fan.

We’re so excited to share some very special news…

Your favourite Spatula Girl, Brydie, is having a baby!

We’re absolutely thrilled for Brydie and can’t wait to meet the newest little member of the Delilah family. While we’ve still got a little while before she heads off on maternity leave, we know you’ll all want to join us in congratulating her on this exciting new chapter.

Congratulations, Brydie. We couldn’t be happier for you.

If you were a hairdressing apprentice before smartphones, you’ll probably remember this.

Friday night meant finishing late at the salon, heading straight to a nightclub, surviving on the cheapest bottle of Passion Pop you could find, and somehow convincing yourself that two hours of sleep was enough before a 7 or 8 a.m. start the next morning.

You’d spend the day shampooing and blow-drying clients, trying not to throw up, and by the afternoon you’d finally start feeling human again.

Then Saturday night would roll around…

…and you’d do it all over again.

Looking back, I honestly don’t know how we survived.

Who else remembers those apprenticeship years?

One of the biggest differences between ’80s and ’90s hairdressing compared to today is hair treatments.

Back then, if you booked in for a treatment, it was really about the experience. We’d apply a thick conditioner, give you an incredible head massage, wrap your hair in a warm towel, and you’d leave feeling relaxed. It was a beautiful luxury service, but if we’re being honest, it was also a bit of smoke and mirrors.

Today, that’s completely changed.

We have treatments like K18 that are backed by real science and designed to repair hair at a molecular level, not just make it feel nice for a day or two.

Don’t get me wrong. I still believe the experience matters. A great head massage will never go out of fashion.

But I love that modern hairdressing doesn’t have to rely on the illusion anymore. We can actually deliver real, measurable results.

I believe now more than ever that wash-and-wear hair is an act of rebellion.

The more conservative the world becomes, the more we’re taught to shrink ourselves, soften our edges, and fit in.

Choosing to wear your natural curl is choosing not to.

It’s choosing authenticity over approval. Texture over perfection. Freedom over conformity.

And it’s choosing to be seen exactly as you are.

From mixing and bottling to the final clean-up, our TEX Salt Spray and HYDRO Spray are made completely by hand. No electricity is used in the entire process, and we’re incredibly proud of that.

Small batch. Locally made. Lower impact.

Even our bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic, and we package and deliver your order with the same commitment to reducing our footprint.

Thanks for supporting local manufacturing. Next time you’re looking for a hydration spray or a salt spray, think Delilah Made.

Watch George transform Amran’s beautiful curls.

Dry-cutting her lovely natural texture to perfection, the goal was to take her from long hair to a stunning curly French bob with soft, rounded edges that enhance her natural texture and movement.

What a transformation.

No one quite holds in a p*e like the 90s hairdresser.

Our bladder control will be studied for hundreds of years to come.

We were one of the only professions that could look at a 10 to 12 hour day and decide, “Yeah… I’ll go halfway through.” Even though we’d needed to go since the first client.

And we’d still keep drinking. Coke. Coffee. Water. Whatever was within reach.

Did it lead to kidney infections? The jury’s still out.

Did it lead to elite core control?

Bloody oath it did.
