This nursery is their only way of income and it’s been destroyed over night. We’re hoping to raise some money to support the family while we try to rebuild.

Clarissa has had a last minute appointment become available, 9am on Thursday the 16th of December for a full head of foils or a balayage.
This is the last appointment available for this kind of service with clarissa until mid January, so first in best dressed Xx

Emily has had a spot open up this Thursday, one appt available at 5pm this Thursday the 16th.

It’s official! The plants are starting to take over! is plant powered after all 👌🏻
Loving how well all our plants are going, they are living their best lives!
Can’t wait till we can have another cutting swap day.

Hopefully this September we will be able to gather in greater numbers and celebrate our love of all things green and swap some cuttings and some plant enthusiasm.

Shout out to our girl Rachel, who is not only an incredibly talented hairdresser, but also a total babe!

Amazing blonde created by our new talent Emma. Watch this space has some serious talent, we can’t wait to see where she’s going to take it!

Rachel has actually been Emma’s hairdresser since she was in year four! So it’s absolutely beautiful to see it come full circle, and Emma now colour Rachel’s hair.

To the dear, valued and loyal Guests of Afreya.

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you, Afreya will be closing its doors as of tomorrow, Thursday the 26th of March.

It is a decision that was made for the health and wellbeing of our community and staff. We can no longer operate knowing that we are putting peoples health at risk. Our industry is highly contact driven. And in a climate where contact is to be drastically reduced, we can not in good conscience keep our doors open.

Thank you for everyone who has ever walked through our doors, both staff and guest alike. We truely appreciate your support. WE WILL BE BACK! We will fix whatever mess you have create at home in the mean time…..but seriously please don’t do it, save for Pennys, we’re going to need them, and colour corrections are pricey… just saying.

We are sending so much love to our Afreya family, stay safe, stay well, help each other.

Seeing the government has deemed us as essential, we might as well do something that is essential.

Afreya will be offering supply runs for our guests choosing to self isolate who may not have the ability to stock up for themselves.

It doesn’t have to be Haircare, we’re talking, dog food, people food, garden supplies, clothes. You need it, we’ll do our best to source it for you.

Yes we will still be doing hair, but seeing our books have a few gaps in them these days, we might as well make ourselves useful.

I know the last thing we all want to hear is more Covid-19 talk. So we’ll just quietly leave this here for your piece of mind.
Stay positive everyone.

***Salon update***
We have taken some new measures to keep everyone as safe as we can. Please read our current changes.

-Please call to reschedule if you feel sick or have symptoms.

-The salon has a three guest in at a time policy, we are keeping guest numbers low, apologies if lack of appt time availabilities inconveniences any of our guests.

-Our at risk guests can be moved to the beauty room, to have their service in private.

-Please do not bring addition family members to your appointment.

-Emma is cleaning everything that isn’t nailed down! All contact surfaces and tools are strictly monitored and cleaned, before, after and during services.

-We are using single use cups.

-We are encouraging card payments rather than cash (still taking cash, Glen 20 will help with that)

-There will be no magazines, but there is free wifi.

-Our doors are open, literally, due to doorknobs being a high transfer area, we’re keeping all doors open and handles cleaned.

-We have hand washing facilities set up for before and after your service.

We are all in this together. Afreya is still here to take care of our guests and community.
