FIRST SITTING | BLONDE REFRESH ✨

LET'S TALK...

This beautiful client has been sitting in my chair for quite a while now, and if you've ever gone from blonde to brunette and back again, you'll understand this story. 🤍

We've had many seasons of blonde, followed by moments where we wanted something richer and darker. Then, before long, we're craving brightness again. It's a cycle many clients find themselves in!

At her last appointment, we kept things predominantly brunette with just a few highlights throughout. The challenge with this is that when hair has a long history of blonde, darker colours tend to fade faster. Blonde hair is often more porous, meaning it doesn't always hold onto darker pigments as well as natural hair.

For this appointment, the goal was to start our journey back towards a brighter blonde.

Now, if I'm being completely honest, this blonde isn't perfect... at least not to me.

As hairdressers, we don't just look at the result in front of us—we look at where the hair has been, its condition, previous colour history, and where we want it to go next. Sometimes achieving the "perfect blonde" in one appointment isn't the healthiest option for the hair.

Healthy blondes are often created over multiple appointments, not in a single sitting.

By taking a more strategic approach, we were able to introduce more brightness while maintaining dimension and protecting the integrity of her hair. The result is a softer, brighter blonde that still has room for us to continue building on at future appointments.

Hair Tip: If you've been colouring your hair darker and want to return to blonde, patience is key. The healthiest, most beautiful blondes are usually achieved through a customised plan rather than one big transformation.
