Who’s the MVP of wedding hair products??

Most will say hairspray… while it is a girls best friend right next to diamonds is actually all in the prep!!

We can layer up all different kinds of products to get the look that you want and to make it last all day. What we can’t do is fight against dirt oils and pollution in your hair…

The best thing you can do for your bridal stylist is to make sure that your hair is clean a free from build up of oils or products…

And NO 🙅🏻‍♀️ a dip in the pool the day before does not constitute clean hair.!!! We want to see a double shampoo, focusing on removing all the dirt, oil and pollution from the scalp … really scrubbing, lifting all those dead skin cells followed by a light conditioner (mainly through those ends) and a good comb through BUT the kicker is the rinsing!!! Make sure you’re properly rinsing all of that product out!! Leftover shampoo or conditioner is going to impede the styling products performance!!

Last HOT TIP: Using products that are specifically designed for Australian conditions is going to far out perform any expensive brand of shampoo and conditioner you can buy!! I love Everescents organic hair care, they’ve been my go to brand in QLD for 20 years they focus on good quality, organic or plant based ingredients, they’ve products are designed by hairdressers for hair, with Australia’s specific climate and conditions in mind. And a local Sunshine Coast business… these guys are in a league of their own.

12 months ago I was handed the reins to the Lakes retirement village salon! I could never imagined the incredible people I would meet, the conversations we would have, solving all the world’s problems of course, sharing experiences and life lessons and making so many incredible friendships along the way! So very grateful for this opportunity!!

Last minute 🆘 wedding on Saturday in Hervey Bay

In-between the “May in the Bay” car show …so it’s all hands on deck for the prep!!
