I don’t hate social media. But I am tired of what it’s become.

Somewhere along the way, being good at your job stopped feeling like enough.

Running a small business now comes with this constant background noise…

“Did you get a photo?”
“You need to post.”
“People want to see YOU.”
“Film some BTS.”
“Make a Reel.”
“Use this trending audio.”
“It’s been too long since you posted.”

And honestly? It can become exhausting.

We already spend so much of our lives watching, comparing, consuming and trying to keep up. Sometimes I think we forget how much of our actual lives, our families, conversations, work and the people sitting right in front of us are happening while we’re creating something for everyone else to see.

I GENUINELY love what I do.

I love brows. I love lashes. I love working with real women — real skin, real brows, real asymmetry and real expectations. I want to keep learning, and I want to teach others so we have more genuinely great brow artists out there.

That’s where I want my energy to go.

The beauty industry online can feel like one big highlight reel. Models, perfect lighting, filters, editing and results that don’t always represent the everyday client walking through our doors.

And then there are the trends.

Same audio. Same Reel. Same transition. Same aesthetic. Same content.

Whatever happened to originality?

Sometimes I just want to choose a bloody song because I LIKE THE SONG. 😂

So if I haven’t posted for a while, it isn’t because I’ve stopped caring about my business.

Quite the opposite.

I’m probably busy running it.

Busy with clients. Busy creating beautiful brows and lashes. Busy learning. Busy having actual conversations. Busy being a mum, wife, friend and human outside of Instagram.

I’d rather measure my success by the client who looks in the mirror and smiles. The one who comes back. The one who recommends me to a friend. The trust you place in me every time you sit in my chair.

I’m not here to become a content creator.

I’m here to be bloody good at what I do.

And I’m happy with that. 🤍
