Those little circular marks you've probably seen on athletes or after a treatment? That's cupping and it's a lot less mysterious than it looks.
It's a treatment using suction cups to gently lift the tissue and encourage blood flow to the area, often used alongside massage or osteopathy for a deeper release. It can help with tight muscles, tension and recovery, and while it does sometimes leave temporary marks, most people find it surprisingly relaxing once they get used to the sensation.
Curious if it's right for you? Let's chat about it at your next session - book in via the link in our bio.
Sometimes your body takes a little longer to catch up. If you're noticing old tension creeping back in once you're active, or feeling great in the moment but sore the next day, that's usually your body asking for a bit of support, not something to ignore. π
We look at the whole picture, not just where it hurts, and tailor each session to what your body actually needs on the day.
If any of this sounds familiar, consider it your sign to check in.

You come in with a sore shoulder, and we're checking how you're standing, how you move, what your other side is doing to compensate.
That's not us overcomplicating it - it's how we actually find out what's going on. Pain rarely lives in just one spot. It's usually connected to the way the rest of the body is moving, holding tension or picking up the slack somewhere else.

Waking up tired even after a full night's sleep. Feeling stiff before you've even gotten out of bed. Noticing you've stopped stretching, moving, breathing properly without really clocking why.
On their own, these things feel small enough to ignore. Together, they're usually your body asking for a bit of support.
If any of this sounds familiar, it might be time to give your body a break. Book in via the link in our bio.

Not sure which treatment your body actually needs? You're not alone.
Massage, osteopathy and dry needling can all help with pain and tension - but they work in different ways, and knowing the difference makes it easier to book the right session for what's going on.

Byron doesn't rush, and neither should your recovery.
We see it all the time - people pushing through tightness, soreness or stiffness because there's no time to stop. But your body isn't asking for a quick fix, it's asking for a bit of space to actually be looked after.

5 signs your body might be asking for a little support...
Recurring tightness in the same spot, no matter how much you stretch it out. Sleep that's disrupted, even when you feel exhausted. Shallow breathing that feels stuck in the chest. Leaning or carrying weight differently on one side. A low-grade ache that's been there so long you've stopped noticing it.
Any of these sound familiar? Your body's telling you something - we're here to help you listen. Book in via the link in our bio

We commonly help with back tension, hip and pelvic discomfort, swelling and general tightness.

What people think they need vs. what their body actually needs.
Someone books in for a relaxation massage, but their body's been holding a restriction that keeps coming back no matter how much they stretch or rest - that's often asking for osteopathy. Someone else books osteopathy expecting a full diagnostic deep-dive, when really their body just needs the tension worked out of tight, overused muscles - that's remedial massage doing its job.
There's no wrong door to walk through. We look at what's actually going on and guide you from there, whether that's massage, osteopathy, dry needling or a combination.
You don't need to know exactly what you need before you book. That's what we're here to figure out with you π

Never been to Tonic before? Here's exactly what to expect.
Booking is easy - just tell us what's going on and what you'd like support with. You don't need to have it all figured out, we'll ask the right questions.
When you arrive, come as you are. We'll start with a quick chat about how you're feeling, then move into the treatment room. We look at the whole body, not just the sore spot, and we'll explain what we're doing along the way.
Afterwards, everyone's a little different. Some feel relief straight away, others notice changes over the next day or two. We'll let you know what to expect before you leave.
