Good skin starts with understanding what it actually needs- not a generic routine.

Every prescription is tailored to your unique skin and its current state.

If your skin is in need of a little support, we’re here to help you understand what is needs and where to start.

Real skin. Real change. One skin needling treatment.

Skin needling isn’t just about collagen production.

It’s about supporting the skin’s natural repair processes and working towards clearer, healthier, more resilient skin.

At JUVE, every needling treatment is customised around what your skin actually needs to reach its optimal state - whether that’s working on acne scarring, breakouts, fine lines, enlarged pores, pigmentation or a combination of the above.

Your skin is assessed on the day, and your treatment is tailored accordingly.

If you’re wanting to work on your skin at a deeper level, book your Skin Needling session via the link in bio.

Why jojoba was the first JUVE product

It was quite some time ago that I started diving deep into the properties of jojoba and why it behaves so differently to many other facial oils.

Technically, jojoba isn’t actually an oil - it’s a liquid wax ester, and its structure is extremely similar to the lipids naturally found in our skin’s sebum.

Rather than sitting heavily on the surface of the skin, jojoba works within the skin’s lipid environment, helping to support the barrier and maintain moisture without feeling occlusive.

It’s also non-comedogenic and incredibly well tolerated across different skin states.

The sourcing took time. We needed the right purity, extraction and quality - and more than anything, something that performed exactly the way I knew jojoba could.

One simple ingredient, with a really intelligent relationship with the skin.

Skin needling is a process and timing between sessions is just as important as the treatment itself - here’s why.

What you do after your skin needling is just as crucial as what you do before - and the treatment itself.

In the days following needling, your skin is moving through an active repair process. The controlled micro-channels created during treatment trigger a cascade of regeneration beneath the surface - but your skin barrier is also temporarily more vulnerable.

This is where your aftercare matters.

Your skin needs moisture to support hydration and comfort as it recovers, barrier-supportive ingredients to minimise unnecessary irritation and support its natural protective function, and daily SPF to protect vulnerable skin from UV exposure.

The key is not to overwhelm your skin with actives or a complicated routine. This is the time to simplify, support and protect - allowing your skin to focus its energy on repair.

These are the three products I won’t leave home without in the week following my treatment.

Not all gel cleansers are the same.

At JUVE, we currently have two gel cleansers in the studio - Dermaviduals Cleansing Gel and Prologic Gel Cleanser - and they’re prescribed based on the individual skin, rather than simply choosing a gel because you’re “oily.”

The formulations are quite different.

Prologic Gel Cleanser contains salicylic acid and is suited to skin needing more refinement - particularly congestion, severe breakouts, excess oil and build-up.

Dermaviduals Cleansing Gel contains lemongrass oil and coco glucoside, a gentle sugar-derived surfactant. This is a more gentle gel cleanse that we may prescribe when the skin needs effective cleansing without an active exfoliating ingredient.

This is why reading the ingredient list matters.

A lot of gel cleansers can contain stronger surfactants that may be too stripping for certain skin types. And when introducing a new cleanser, pay attention to how your skin feels afterwards.

If your skin feels squeaky clean, tight or dry -

That’s not necessarily a sign that your skin is “really clean” - it can be an indication that the cleanser is removing too much from the skin barrier.

Your cleanser should leave your skin feeling clean, comfortable and balanced.

The best cleanser isn’t necessarily the one that gives you the deepest clean - it’s the one that cleanses effectively while still respecting what your skin actually needs.
